there on the limestone escarpment he looked so grand and important, as though history was written in his veins ‌ and in a way, it was. His name was Hamdaany Wadhah 901, and he, like the other residents at the Royal Stud of Bahrain, is a member of the largest single breeding group of original desertbred horses left in the world today.
