When John O’Hara calls TA Mozart (*Kordelas x *Marieta) the best purebred stallion he has ever ridden, it prompts one to read into the horse a bit further. Taking home monumental wins in the 2011 and 2012 Scottsdale Arabian Open Reining Futurity (the only horse to do this 2 years in a row) and also being the 2012 U.S. National Champion in Junior Reining, Mozart has proven what he is capable of in a big way. On this impressive start in the show ring, trainer O’Hara shares, “For me, Mozart’s biggest show ring accomplishment was winning the Scottsdale Reining Futurity as a 4- and 5-year-old. my customers and myself, win or lose, I am walking in on a great horse and no matter what happens in the pen, I will be walking out on the same great horse.” However, as it turned out, O’Hara and Mozart performed through the pressure and expectations. These two championships are wins that O’Hara attributes to the horse’s quality and excellent temperament. “Mozart’s show ring success was always consistent—as in consistently GREAT! Every time I walked into the pen, I knew exactly what I had and what he was going to give me. This is a huge bond of trust we had together and I trusted him on every maneuver. He is such an honest
