My name is Armando Romรกn. I am an architect and storyteller, born and raised in Mexico City, who studied in the United Kingdom, and is looking for new collaborations, and experimenting with new creative processes and scenarios.

I have worked in more than 7 Architectural & design studios, where I participated on the conception & development of masterplans, cultural,

“Let the Cranes take the Strain� Surviving the Apocalyptic Scenario Every project had a conceptual inception, yet this particular one had a manifesto & ideological driver where it looked for new responses in an academic context. In this endeavour, I focused on a futuristic noir narrative where the industrial city of Liverpool had to go back to its 19th centruy roots in order to survive natural catastrophes predicted on the basis of global warming & international chaos. After planting this seed, questions, answers & new doubts arised.

“Life in a Water World� Sensorial & Aquatic Stories If built, Hurricane Harbor Aquarium could be the largest of its kind in Latin America, offering a unique and contemporary space for more than meets the eye. Located in the favorable climate of Oaxtepec, it would welcome visitors from all over the world and invite them to explore, discover and connect. This project applies functional strategies & logistics for the allocated species, special equipment, laboratory, cafeteria & other amenities.

“Structuring Experiences” Shelling the Temple This project showed many challenges due to its formal & functional aspirations, where the local Jewish community wanted to renovate its center & attract more congregations. This is the last shape applied to the Auditorium & Temple. It had more than 100 versions & structural analysis, understanding the best configurations for the visuals & activites.

SP Tower Tijuana II Comissioned Conceptual Project for Six Flags Mexico

Area: 27,000 m2 [Total 35,000 m2]

Location: Tijuana, Mexico

“Iterative & Increasing Pattern� Bilateral Tower This 20 floored Residential Tower works on a financial scheme for potential owners & residents, where the whole site will be developed as a triangular hot spot renovating the area for the upcoming developments. The land is set to modify the context due to future needs of the border city according to federal & local regulations. The project complies with a 15% free area of the total construction percentage.
