Most importantly, he reminds students to be themselves. He said “Try to stick out. Don’t focus on being number one, do your best. Try your hardest and compete at your own pace.
Aquinas Senior, Emilie Petit is the salutatorian for the Aquinas class of 2022.
She will be attending the University of California, Berkeley and majoring in Bioengineering. School has always been an important focus for Petit and she has aimed to be at the top of her class. She’s put in endless hard work trying to achieve her goal. “It took a lot of studying, late nights, taking any extra opportunities I could such as summer classes, and just a lot of work, ” said Petit. She believes earning salutatorian was worth all the effort she put in, especially being accepted into her dream school. For future students aiming for this goal, she advises them to take opportunities, talk to counselors, put in hard work, but also enjoy high school and have fun. Overall, Petit is proud of her achievement and is thankful for all the support her family gave her.
