HOT TUB, SWIM SPA & WELLNESS NEWS

Rapidly Expanding O-Care Reduces Chemical Consumption Since O-Care launched their spa cleaning products in the UK in late 2015, the company has been taking the market by storm. O-Care removes and prevents biofilm whilst constantly cleaning the spa meaning less chemicals are needed. Using O-Care can reduce the amount of chlorine or bromine used by up to 78%, therefore it’s safe and it helps to protect the main components in a spa or hot tub. Made from a mixture of high quality minerals, it makes the water more natural, is odourless and leaves the skin of the spa user in a soft condition. It also negates the need to shower after bathing, which is important when using chemical water treatments alone. The company started back in 2009 as a small brand in the Netherlands, but that changed when the decision was made to introduce their products to different international markets. An effective water

maintenance product in conjunction with creative marketing and a smart sales concept has helped O-Care expand rapidly. Even-though the O-Care concept is being adapted and integrated in many different

countries, Roel Fassbender, the CEO of O-Care Spa Water Care, believes that growth needs to be sustainable and not a goal in itself. To support the brand name, O-Care provides free tools for both retailers and consumers such as a water maintenance app, animations and training programs to name just a few. “We focus on both the retailer and the consumer in every aspect,” said Roel. “Customer loyalty is key and with the various O-Care tools we aim to help our retailers excel at that.” In 2018 O-Care will have a very busy schedule with shows in the US, UK and France so you can be sure to meet them somewhere and maybe even be persuaded to give O-Care a try. Wellness Academy A Hit For SCP UK SCP UK opened its doors for 2 days in March and hosted a Wellness Academy in its dedicated Academy Seminar Room and newly created showroom area, which will form part of the new Trade Counter being built at the company’s Gatwick Head Office. All four of SCP’s spa/hot tub brands were displayed along with 5 Sentiotec Saunas plus a large range of Spa Enhance accessories and water treatment products. Ian Pratt, Sales, Sourcing and Marketing Director commented: “The event was very well attended by over 50 Companies with a good mix of existing Wellness customers and new prospects. Many customers chose their 2018 flooring stock resulting in over 50 spas/hot tubs being sold and eight saunas.” Karen McCleave, Beachcombers European Customer Care Representative, attended to support SCP with dealers of the brand. Specific interest was shown in the new 730AV hot tub featuring the all new Signature Cabinet with Star Trail lighting. New cabinets also featured on the 2018 Week End Spa range which were well received by all that viewed them. A Cove Retreat Spa with a ‘Holiday Park’ upgrade package was also on

display and featured the key items that are standard for the holiday park sector and which are available on all five Cove Spa models. Robert Bikic was in attendance to support SCP with the presentation of Sentiotec Saunas which are part of the Harvia Group. A lot of interest surrounded the 3 infrared models on display and customers had the opportunity to try each out, resulting in immediate sales. Two traditional saunas were also displayed and all models demonstrated the impressive build quality of Sentiotec products. During the evening, a number of Beachcomber dealers were taken to a well-known local Indian restaurant which specialises in great food and entertainment. Ian concluded that: “The event demonstrates SCP’s huge capability and portfolio of products for the Wellness sector of the market. We look forward to bringing on new dealers throughout 2018 as well as continuing to support existing Wellness customers to grow their businesses.” SCP UK 01293 813215 www.scpeurope.com
