2017 Hot Tubs – The New Season

Over recent years, hot tubs have been a real success story in the UK and for many manufacturers and retailers, 2016 was another great year. But with a number of potential pressures facing the market, staying one step ahead of the competition in 2017 will be the key to ensuring continued success. A New Year brings new opportunities and this issue, we take a look at the latest innovations and models for 2017 By Jon Wadeson

W

ith uncertainty surrounding BREXIT resulting in currency falls combined with expectations that the general public would cut back on spending, just a few months a go, the hot tub sector was one of a number of industries that was fearing the worst from a projected belt tightening by UK consumers. However, as with many recent predictions, things have panned out as expected and despite less than favourable circumstances, it seems there is no stopping a market that has continued to go from strength-to-strength over recent years. Of course, we are only weeks into a new year so 2017 may indeed prove to be challenging but with confident consumers still spending in the sector, combined with new models and innovations for the season ahead, the signs are looking good already and it looks possible that the hot tub market could be chalking up another successful year. With a number of brands enhancing existing models as well as adding new ranges to their offering, competition between companies could be tougher than ever this

year and this issue, we take a closer look what’s on offer for the season ahead.

AQUA DESIGN & LEISURE’S IMPRESSIVE 2017 LINEUP As you may have already read in this issue on page 30, Aqua Design & Leisure is the new trading name for Catalina Spas in the UK. The name change came about due to the company offering a much wider range of tubs than just the Catalina brand, including: Eurospa, Dream Maker Spas, Clearwater Spas and of course, Catalina Spas and Swim Spas. With a variety of brands and therefore models now all under one roof, Aqua Design & Leisure are able to offer solutions for a wide range of needs and budgets.
