Recognising Excellence And Commemorating Industry Milestones In this anniversary year for SPATA and BISHTA, the Gala Evening is an opportunity to bring the whole wet leisure industry together in celebration!

O

n Tuesday 1 February, during SPATEX 2022 in Coventry, the industry will come together in celebration. The night is open for everyone in the pool and hot tub industry to attend. Whether a SPATA, BISHTA and / or ISPE member (or none), and irrespective of whether attendees are exhibiting or visiting SPATEX, the BSPF warmly invites guests to attend the biggest industry social event of the year at this Oscar-esque style evening. The Industry Gala Evening includes the 2022 British Pool & Hot Tub Awards ceremony hosted by SPATA and BISHTA and the re-presentation of the ISPE Awards 2021, and what makes the evening even more special is that it’s an anniversary year for SPATA (60th) and BISHTA (20th), so plans are in place to make it a night to remember, with surprises in store. The black-tie event is jam-packed, and the entry price includes; a champagne reception, a sit-down meal, a chance to network with industry peers, fun entertainment, a photo booth, mementoes, raffle entry, and concludes with the evening’s resident DJ James Penny keeping guests dancing into the early hours. The surge in demand for wet leisure products brought many businesses financial success but also supply challenges. So, as we move ahead towards new horizons, it’s important to celebrate successes along the way. The British Pool & Hot Tub Awards play a crucial role in promoting the industry, but more importantly, to celebrate and raise the profile of the individual businesses that make the industry great! The British Pool & Hot Tub Awards were established to promote and celebrate SPATA and BISHTA members (nationwide and overseas), endorsing companies who strive for the best, working to the recognised industry standards and the Code of Ethics of the respective associations. These awards have been established to appeal to a broad crosssection of the consumer press, with coverage for award-winners gaining more and more momentum both locally and nationally, which has been evident from the mass of national press and media achieved through 2020/21.

Judges award entries on a transparent points-based system, making the British Pool & Hot Tub Awards a fair and highly regarded recognition of excellence for any company.

HIGHLIGHTS Recognising what’s new and exciting about the industry and moving with the times, SPATA and BISHTA work with their various committees to look at new opportunities to spotlight each year. Last year, BISHTA introduced the new ‘#everydaycation Hot Tub Happiness’ category. The new category was introduced to celebrate with lifestyle images of people enjoying time in their hot tub or exercise spa, tied in with the extremely successful national industry marketing campaign ‘everydaycation’ initiated by Pool Industry Promotions (PIP) in June 2020. SPATA is changing the criteria for its awards in 2022 to enable more members to show their compliance with industry standards and the Code of Ethics. Judges will recognise one overall best entrant in each award category, with Gold, Silver and Bronze standard awards given to entries achieving the criteria set out for reaching the required levels, based on technical and aesthetic appeal.

PUBLICITY Every winner receives press coverage with a

complimentary consumer release distributed to their local area, along with guaranteed coverage in the national trade press. Following the awards, winners receive promotion across various social media channels and online, in addition to potential coverage in related industry titles – sectors of which include selfbuilding, landscaping, holiday park, homes and gardens – making these awards a great opportunity for winning companies!
