Key Problem

Poor Hygiene

Cats

Most of the cats around Telkom University we came across is either sick or is having an injury such as an open wound

The key problem based on our research are shelters. There are zero shelters dedicated to the cats inside telkom. here are the supporting problems : 1 2 Sick

Numerous of Cats are dying Simply, No Shelter No Proper Care

Because of their sick conditions and nowhere safe and hygienic to recover properly, they are forced to stay outdoors in the cold wind of night which makes their conditions worse

Every creature needs shelter, especially cats because they find small closed space safe as a place to rest or secure their kittens 5

Cats don’t need human intervention to survive, but we all know that cats that are looked after by humans do look healthier and is a good sight to see instead of dying sick cats

The cats are unable to wash themselves properly because of their sickness, if they clean themselves by licking their own fur the virus will stick to their fur and infect other cats 4

02
( Survey )

We need shelter because we don't want cats to get sick. We want them to have a comfortable and proper home to stay. The shelter we want to make is a permanent housing for the cats inside of telkom. Our goal is to create a safe and easy to mantain shelter. We asked a group of lecturers to fill the survey. Here are the result:

In your opinion, how many cats are there in the Telkom University area?

Cats get sick for a variety of reasons, but in almost all cases, the average starts with cats not getting enough shelter to protect them from the weather, do you agree with that opinion?

IDEAS

Volunteer (system) Shelter (Prototype)

A volunteer-based system that was originally intended to complement the shelter, used for the maintenance of the shelter as well as providing additional help, such as taking care of the cats, giving food, and providing healthcare. The volunteers would be rewarded with TAK points over time. Unfortunately, this proposal would be rejected as there are already other groups working on the same idea.

The main idea of our group is a cost-effective shelter for the cats to protect them from the weather as well as protecti mother cats that had just birthed their kittens. Simple in design, and more than enough for the cats, we aimed to create a shelter that is easy to produce, easy to maintain, and easy to clean

Volunteer (system)

we chose shelter (prototype) over volunteer (the system) to provide a permanent shelter for the cats to prevent from unexpected weather forecast that leads to sickness and to avoid from poisonous species (insects, etc.)
