In our sustainable design project for the Olivetti thermal plant in Ivrea, we blend preservation with innovation to revive this historically significant site. We began with a thorough survey and analysis, leveraging archival drawings and advanced modeling to create refurbishment plans that honor the building's heritage while integrating modern functionality. Our iterative design process addressed degradation issues and proposed sustainable solutions, such as envelope enhancements and corrosion-resistant materials. The final presentation highlights not only the preservation of historical integrity but also the addition of new community facilities, ensuring the building's relevance and sustainability for future generations.
