ith over 2 million active users, Roposo is India's leading fashion social network and the ultimate destination for women to socialize fashionably, discover trends, inspire and get inspired. You'll also find popular Bollywood fashion icons such as Sonakshi Sinha, Nargis Fakhri, Gauhar Khan, and Jacqueline Fernandez to name a few sharing their fashion and style on Roposo. And the good news is that Roposo has just completed one successful year of its app, and celebrated the success with the launch of its men's platform. The move is in line with the massive demand, both from its existing women users and from men themselves, to open up the social network to men's fashion, and of course, it is the next step in Roposo's evolution as the ultimate social destination for all fashion lovers in the country. With the launch of the men's platform, it is well on its way to hit its target of amplifying its user base to hit 7-8 million by the end of the current fiscal year. In an email interview with Apps Unveiled team, Kaushal Shubhank, Co-founder of Roposo talked about their USP and said, “We are, indeed, the best fashion and lifestyle search engine of India. The best thing about Roposo is that it is completely personalized and curated as per your individual design and fashion taste. For example, if you type “Little Black Dress for parties,” the search engine will share only those LBDs and brands that suit your taste and preferences. You can discover your own unique style on our platform”. Edited Excerpts:

Q. Roposo is your brainchild. How did you come up with this idea? We noticed that even though e-commerce was growing at a steady pace in India, there was no discovery or inspiration in the shopping process. At the same time, searching specifically for what you wanted was a bit of an ordeal. So, Roposo was formed as a social network which connects users, helps them search for very specific products as per their taste, get inspired by others' styles, and at the end have the ability to buy the same.

Q. What is the USP of Roposo? We are, indeed, the best fashion and lifestyle search engine of India. The best thing about Roposo is that it is completely personalized and curated as per your individual design and fashion taste. For example, if you type “Little Black Dress for parties,” the search engine will share only those LBDs and brands that suit your taste and preferences. Thus, you can discover your own unique style on our platform. Also, if you like a photo posted by a user on Roposo, we can scan the internet and help you buy the same or similar dress from across numerous fashion e-commerce portals. We provide users with content which

14 June 2016

is relevant to them by understanding their taste. We are in the process of continuous growth and we are growing beyond fashion such as in the field of styling, food, makeup, home décor and so on. Our users are posting stories and videos on Roposo and we are connecting right stories to the right people so that their feed is relevant.

Q. Why one should download the Roposo mobile app? Your top three reasons for that. Roposo is a prime destination for lifestyle discovery and inspirations, where you can see what's trending, get inspired, buy what you like and at the same time share your style with other fashionistas who like your sense of style. My top three reasons for recommending Roposo app would be: •

Explore trends & style and toggle through various products of various brands.

Get inspired on what interests you.

Share your style and build a unique community of like-minded people.

Q. What makes your users happy? What really makes our users happy is the fact that they are interacting with

one another around their common love for style. Unlike typical editorial content, the users on this platform create stories on styling tips, outfit of the day, new hairstyle ideas and so on. They are real people inspiring and solving problems of many more real people. We also hold meet-n-greet sessions with fans of our star users and it motivates us to see their passion for one another. All our users are important to us and it is their support which is propelling us to grow even further.

Q. Roposo has just completed 1 year. So how's the feeling? How are you expanding? Any new features that you're working on? It's amazing to see how we have come this far in just a year and at the same time the road ahead of us is clear and exciting. We have launched the men's section on Roposo. This move was natural after having established ourselves as a successful fashion social network for women. We are also working on making Roposo personalized, i.e. your Roposo's feed will be ‘what interests you’. It's about striking that bond with our users where we offer them what they are looking for. We have introduced features such as Roposo videos and are working towards bringing in more exiting features to make the platform even more engaging.

Q. What's your take on other fashion apps like Myntra, Voonik or Limeroad? Are you facing any competition from them? There is no competition as the content on our platform is created by the users; we are a platform to share your style which you would have otherwise done within the circle of your friends. Now, there is a whole community getting inspired from us. While other platforms like ‘Twitter’ which is primarily text based media platform and ‘Instagram’ which is primarily a closed media platform, Roposo is an open fashion social network.

Q. What do you see as Roposo's biggest challenge this financial year? The biggest challenge for any startup is execution. We have the confidence of our users, an impeccable team and the expertise to do it, the execution is what which gives shape to startups like us with time.

Q. Where do you see Roposo five years down the line? We see Roposo as a channel of connected inspirations.

Q. Lastly, what would be the one liner for Roposo mobile app? Share your style!

Kaushal Shubhank Currently I'm using Nexus 5 phone

My Favorite App picks (other than Roposo): Medium and WhatsApp I am a regular user of Gmail mobile app (other than Roposo) My message for Apps Unveiled Readers – We are delighted to be the part of Apps Unveiled and magazines like Apps Unveiled helps startups like us grow. I would like to thank our readers for the support they have shown to Roposo and we promise that we will make Roposo platform even more engaging and personalized.

There are plenty of endless runner gameplays available on iOS and Android, in which you chase for a new high score every time you play. Here comes Alto's Adventure by Snowman, with a slightly different approach. This 'endless runner' snowboarding game has 60 levels to play, with three goals per level. Completing these objectives is what will keep you hooked to the game. To put it otherwise, Alto's Adventure combines endlessly-charming endless runner adventure with chasing llamas whilst avoiding obstacles, performing snowboarding tricks to access speed boost, beautiful pastoral landscapes, and devilishly hard goals in one gameplay to keep you coming back over and over again.

16 June 2016

Available on:

– INR 250 (or $3.99) – Free (offers in-app purchases)

GAMEPLAY: You play as Alto, a young shepherd boy trying to chase escaped llamas as you snowboard down the mountain. While on your endless snowboarding journey, you'll grind on strings of bunting flags or rooftops, perform backflips and landing tricks, collect coins and jump over dangerous chasms – exciting, isn't it? Maybe you'll crash into a rock or miss a landing, but no problem; you have an option to revive Alto by watching free ads to continue the journey from the same point where you hit the obstacle or missed a landing. Moreover, like other endless runners, you'll learn tricks and what works as you play and find yourself going farther and farther with each run. At various points along your journey you'll also come across mountain elders. These veterans of the mountains will try to chase you down on their horses and the only way to shake them is to jump over a chasm

they can't cross. Plus, the more grinding and backflips you do, the greater the likelihood of getting access to the speed boost right after to make your get away, outwitting the mountain elders. You'll also get a little help along the way with powerups (such as wingsuit, coin magnet, hover feather, etc.) you find on the mountain. You can also upgrade powerups in the game's workshop using coins collected during the journey. Though the game is called Alto's Adventure, but Alto isn't the only playable character in your arsenal. Yup! There is a secret. As you play through the game, you'll unlock a total of six new snowboarders, each with their own unique abilities. These will make it easier for you to complete certain objectives, and one new character gets unlocked every 10 levels. What's more, there is a Game Center / Google Play Games integration too, if you want to compete with your friends. You'll see your friends' names as markers on your journey, showing that you've passed their best distance.

ABOUT GRAPHICS: What sets Alto's Adventure apart is a graphical style that's stunningly gorgeous and immersive as you snowboard down the mountain. It inhabits a gauzy, sunset-colored world where geometric mountains give way to dense forests. As you pass through randomly generated levels, your surroundings change. One minute it is sunny, the next moment it is raining. Rainbows will appear, lighting will strike and if you watch closely you might spot a shooting star or fireflies glittering in the dark. What's more, pleasant soundtrack adds to the game's appeal.

FINAL THOUGHT: While the game is simple enough, it takes time to master it. The easy-to-grasp one-touch gameplay and cleverly layered challenges make for a compulsive and engaging experience. The game costs INR 250 (or $ 3.99) for iPhone/iPad users. However, it is free (with in-app purchases) for Android users. Developers opted for free-to-play strategy on Android to tackle piracy issues. Go ahead; check out Alto's Adventure if you enjoy endless runners or looking for a new snowboarding game. Worth downloading!

Any game can hand you a sword, but Bushido Bear pulls off a tougher trick – making you feel like an unstoppable samurai. The game offers a swipe-based action challenge in which you play a role of the guardian of your homeland – a large forest – that is being invaded by evil creatures, spirits and demons, and it's up to you to hack them down to size. As far as gameplay goes, Bushido Bear is a fast-paced, reflex-heavy action title that requires quite a bit of precision. The goal is to take down wave after wave of enemies by hacking and slashing through your enemies with two giant swords. You do this by swiping on the screen. The idea is to draw an attacking path between enemies i.e. swiping near them, near enough so that you can slice your enemies with your swords, without physically touching them. Accidentally bumping into an enemy or getting hit by their attack means the game is over.

The gameplay sounds a bit easy, but it is actually not that easy as cute looking enemies keep moving around and comes in different shapes and sizes, with plenty of twists and new attacking methods as you progress through the game, and that what makes Bushido Bear gameplay enjoyable. You'll enjoy attacking enemies whilst dodging their attacks and discovering secret abilities of your playable character as you play. Furthermore, swiping next to enemies, rather than through them is a nice change of pace though, as it requires a little more thought and precision.

As the game is wave-based, so the aim is to survive as long as possible, gaining the highest score you can. However, there are daily quests to complete that rewards you with much-needed coins and tokens. You can use these coins and tokens to unlock new bear characters and upgrade their skills.

The graphics of the game and colors used are fairly bright and vivid, breathing even more life into Bushido Bear. Talking about the touchscreen controls; well, touchgestures are easy-to-use and respond to your actions without any hitch. You tap the screen, and the bear responds to your action precisely. You swipe to attack, and the bear follows the intended path obediently.

Bushido Bear features 9 super-cute samurai bears, each has their own unique characteristics and attacking abilities. For example: Neo Bear is larger, speedier, and capable of slowing down time as he plans his maneuvers, whereas Zombie Bear revives after his first defeat. And Chef Bear… well, let's just say that he enjoys making sushi. Available on:

Overall, if you're looking for some quick actionable game with a refreshing twist, you can give Bushido Bear a try. It won't let you down. Go ahead! Slice and dice the invaders for as long as you can survive! | Free (offers in-app purchases)

AND BUILD NEW HABITS Achieving goals takes more than good intentions. You have to take action and then systematically measure your progress. You need to develop daily habits in order to achieve your goals. And that's where the actual challenge lies in. At times, we lack motivation, procrastinate intentionally, or always wait for the right time to do the things – and still, we have so much to do on a daily basis and our to-do list keeps growing. So, how to get things done and be more productive? The answer is simple: Do a set of activities at the same time of a day every day so that they become your habit, and eventually, a part of your lifestyle. In other words, don't break the chain! To start off, choose a daily task that is easily achievable, for example: write a journal daily, and then keep a track of it. After completing your daily task, mark that day off in the calendar. Soon, you'll find yourself working with momentum and the visual accomplishment of your marked days starts serving as a motivator. Your “job” stops being writing a journal, and it turns into “don't break the chain”. Your hard work is right there for you to see, and you wouldn't want to break that momentum. Of course, this is not a magic tool. It works only if you are serious about it. Starting with one task is ideal, but you could expand that to two or more. But never overload your daily to-do list. Plus, keep your tasks simple and realistic to achieve. Let's have a look at the apps that make easier for you to develop and track your daily habits.

PRODUCTIVITY What do you want to be coached in? Mindfulness

Fitness Saving Money

Hire a Coach Starting at $14.99

The secret of building up a new habit is Consistency and you get consistency with accountability. And to get accountability, you should get a coach. That's an idea behind the habit building app called How it works: The way it works is actually quite simple. Add a habit(s) you want to cultivate into the app and set your preferences (such as how many days a week you want to perform it, when to be reminded about it, whether you want to make your goal public or not, hire a coach or not, etc.) accordingly. The home screen of the app shows you a list of your chosen goals/habits and a simple “tick” mark that you are supposed to check off to let the app know that – “You've accomplished that goal today”. You can even add notes (if you wish to) to describe the way you feel after accomplishing your tasks for the day to keep yourself motivated in the long run. Reach Milestones Get Hi-fives

The app keeps a track of how many times per week and month you’ve checked in. It is convenient that you can see your habit results as both frequency per week and frequency per month simultaneously on the same screen. You also get a hand to high-five when you meet a certain criteria. What's next? Fabulous: Motivate Me

Unlock your potential

It's not easy to have a routine in your life, especially if you're in a job with erratic work timings and uncertain schedules. But it's a routine that keeps you energized, motivated and focused on goals that are important to you, and this app called Fabulous: Motivate Me helps you start just that – a routine. It is a science-based coaching app that will help you build healthy morning / afternoon / and evening rituals into your life step-by-step, just like an elite athlete. It will help you unlock your potential, by embarking you on a fabulous journey.

So how does it work? The moment you open the app, it asks you to choose a goal from the given four options that read ‘Feel more energized’, ‘Lose weight’, ‘Sleep better’, and ‘Focus and concentration more’. As soon as you choose the goal, the app will first create a morning ritual for you, and then gradually adds afternoon/ evening rituals to your routine in order to instill healthy and productive habits in your life. The habits can be at a very granular level, may be as small as starting to drink water every morning. Then there are daily challenges, personalized letters, motivational messages and more for you to unlock one-by-one during your journey. The app refers the entire process as a scientific journey and also maintains your timeline where you can see how

you have been going across all your habits. The overall idea is to repeat the exact chain of activities every day at the same time, so that they become part of your lifestyle. The home page of the app also features a small icon that looks like a spaceship; tapping on which takes you to the ‘Make Me Fabulous’ page. There you can follow yoga instructions, take a motivated power nap, access 7-minute workout plus 5 to 10 minutes guided meditation programs. Overall, you must give this app a try if you are looking for a tool that help you reset your habits, rewire your brain and transform your life. It is very simple, colorful and lively app with no complexities. Available on: Price: Free (offers in-app purchases)

PRODUCTIVE Available on: Price: Free (offers in-app purchases)

For some tracking habits on a daily basis could be boring, but at the same time, they want to build a routine of positive, life changing habits. That's where Productive mobile app steps in. It provides you a simple, clutter-free yet effective user interface that groups habits by time of day, so in the morning you'll see only those habits that are due for that part of the day, and afternoon or evening habits will show up later in the day. It also means when you are doing your morning routine, you don't have to worry about the 6 other habits due later in the day. Thus, Productive app makes habit tracking less stressful.

No sooner than you launch the app, you'll see a message on the home screen that says “Pull down to add”. That means you need to simply pull down the screen to start adding habits. You can either write down your own habits that you want to make part of your daily routine or simply pick from the choices given by the app. You can add as many habits as you want, but one-by-one.

The app gives you convenient and flexible choices to schedule your habits. You can easily plan how often you want to repeat that particular habit – whether you want to do it daily, or four days a week or just at the start of every month. Then you can also schedule when you would like to do it – in the morning, afternoon, evening, or any time of the day, or even all three times of the day. Thus, flexible scheduling options really help you instill healthy habits in your life with ease.

Once the habits are added and scheduled, you can see the habits that are due for the current part of the day on the home screen of the app. There is also an option to set timed reminders for individual habits, but to access that feature you need to upgrade the app via in-app purchases.

Swipe Right to mark that habit as done or Swipe Left to skip that habit. Simple. Then track your progress in the Life Log Section of the app. The idea is to build the streak of perfect days and not to break the chain. The day is counted as a perfect day when you mark all the habits that are due for the day as 'done'. The longer your streak of perfect days, the more motivated you will be to keep getting things done. You can even upgrade the app to get more detailed stats.

If you are looking for an app that simply lets you track your habits in a neat and clean user interface, helping you build a routine of positive and healthy habits, then Productive app is the right choice.

Habitica is a free habit building and productivity app that treats your real life like a game.

Life's a game with Habitica, an app that follows a unique approach to help you build daily habits and be more productive. The app is modelled on role-playing games, and aims to gamify the process of building new habits and sticking to them. The app rewards you with gold and experience points for completing the tasks, just like a game. The idea is: when even the smallest successes provide you with an immediate reward, you're less likely to procrastinate. So, how does it work? Get the app, sign up, create your custom avatar, and then input your habits, your daily tasks, and your todos. Check off tasks to level up your avatar and unlock new features or say motivational tools such as armor, pets, skills, and even quests! Fight monsters with friends to keep each other accountable, and use your gold on in-game rewards. The app also makes sure you never skip your tasks, because if you skip the task you'll lose the health of your avatar and even the progress you've made. Habitica's community aspects are also gamified, including the option to create or join a party where you can collaborate and compete with others. To sum up, with in-game rewards and punishments to motivate you and a strong social network to inspire you, Habitica app can help you achieve your goals to become healthy, hard-working, and happy.

With a specific focus on small group conversations, Google foresees the app being used for activities like book clubs, study groups, discussing TV shows, or planning weekend trips.

UC News Mobile internet company UCWeb, a unit of Alibaba Group, launched its news integration app called UC News – developed exclusively for India.

Powered by big data technology, UC News caters to trending and curated news content covering all popular categories (such as news, cricket, technology, entertainment, lifestyle, health, etc.) with 20+ featured channels. The app tracks trending keywords/topics on Facebook and Twitter to recommend them to the users, and also allows users to customize content subscription. This move to launch a dedicated content aggregation app was fueled by UC Browser's usage data. According to the company, 73% of its 80 million MAU (Monthly Active Users) are tagged as 'News Feed Customers'. “On an average, each UC Browser's Indian user consumes six pieces of news per day,” said the company in the press release. According to Kenny Ye, MD of UCWeb India, “The company has two strengths that can make the UC News app stand out in the market. One, the company has a huge user base for the UC browser, which gives access to the UC News app right from the UC browser – without actually having to download the UC News app. Secondly, the strong tech support from its parent company Alibaba would give the UC News app an edge over its rivals”.
