food for thought (if not a feast for the eyes) with an exhibition of works selected from open submission. Participants were asked to respond to the title and whilst some have chosen a literal interpretation others have responded more obliquely. Whatever your taste it is hoped that there will be something by one of the twenty chosen artists that will appeal to you. Eat or Heat Fête – Local charity offers chance to Appetite

Visitors could bag themselves a masterpiece in the silent auction with the chance to bid on work from local & international established and emerging artists. And after all the excitement of your bidding, you can de-stress and enjoy one of the mini massages or get involved in the Art bunting project by Whitefield’s School. Pop in and say hi or bring down a deckchair to make a day of it enjoying our refreshments and an afternoon of live music, but most of all if you can bring along a tin of food to contribute to our collection, you will be helping those in need too. A fundraiser for Eat or Heat, the E17 food bank. We are a non profit volunteer based food bank. Dedicated to learning by doing, La Wasterie will be running a mouth-watering menu for both belly and mind. Playful activities and educational workshops in our open cafe will shed light on food chain surplus. From ‘all day brunch’ drop-in games to a more traditional ‘three course menu’ of workshops La Wasterie will satisfy a hunger for information and action.
