AWARE secures USDA loan to build Center for Excellence AWARE Inc.’s Center for Excellence, a specially designed therapeutic school and support facility for children with complex needs, has moved a step closer to reality with the announcement of a $2.7 million U.S. Department of Agriculture loan for the project. The facility will be built in the new Anaconda East

Yards Subdivision, helping create a vibrant gateway for the Anaconda community. U.S. Senator Jon Tester, accompanied by Matt Jones, Montana State Director of USDA Rural Development, made a formal announcement of the loan approval on May 12 at 301 E. Pennsylvania Ave. in Anaconda. See USDA on page 12

Founded on the principle that creativity is not limited by disability

ne of AWARE’s newest ventures in Billings, Growth Thru Art, is a multifaceted arts program designed to serve adults with developmental disabilities. Eight studio sessions weekly serve the needs of nearly 60 adults in the development of their motor, social and communication skills. Founded upon the principle that creativity is not limited by disability, participants in the program gain greater community acceptance through the exhibition and sale of their artwork.
