APL | ARCHITECTURAL SERIES WINDOWS & DOORS HAVE THE STRENGTH TO ALLOW BOLD FORMATS AND SIZES

3

APL | ARCH IT E CT U R A L S ER I ES

Perfect for architectural homes and apartments, the APL Architectural Series range of high performance windows and doors is both modern and meticulous in design. Its shapes reflect the designer preference for clean, flush surfaces, continuous sightlines and square-edge 'cubist' forms. The system has been developed with aesthetic unity in mind - similar looks and lines for windows and doors, and common frame edges to simplify architectural detailing. The APL Architectural Series has been designed with the strength and versatility to allow the choice of large formats and sizes increasingly favoured by architects. An array of options is available for sliding doors - they have been designed to allow sliders to be stacked over walls or moved out of sight into wall cavities. Sliders can also be designed to meet at an internal or external corner without a post obscuring the view.

for the clean aesthetics of the APL Architectural Series. The clutter of external fins projecting outwards on window mullions and transoms has been dispensed with - instead, stiffening boxes project inwards. Two frame options (106mm wide and 158mm wide) are available in order to match the width of the sliding door frames - thus a clean, continuous edge can be maintained on the inside when these doors are coupled with windows. The maximum size for awning and casement opening sashes will vary depending on the wind zone where the project is located. For casements i.e. side hung windows,

Dramatic opening is also possible - multi-track options mean that wide window formats can be designed, with as many as three moving panels stacking over a fixed light. For added designer flexibility sliding windows can also stack out of the way into wall cavities or slide over walls, as with APL Architectural Series sliding doors.
