La arquitectura propuesta debía resolver el manejo de las instalaciones en un área de geografía imponente y de gran interés. El delta del río Chaparano como paisaje inmediato y el bosque nativo en el entorno escenográfico como patrimonio natural a proteger, se convirtieron en el referente geográfico cercano y en la macro escala. El concepto sobre el cual se elaboró la propuesta arquitectónica fue la idea de trabajar una intervención a través de una brecha angosta en el paisaje, que controlara un proceso lineal de ordenamiento de la operación y una arquitectura que rescatara las pátinas de los materiales existentes en el lugar. La imagen de un tronco caído en el bosque, intervenido desde su interior para buscar vistas e interrelaciones con el exterior, dieron las líneas matrices al proyecto. El edificio de oficinas posee una deformación controlada que, alabeando sus bordes para transformarlos en un continuo que busca perder las referencias a la verticalidad y la horizontalidad, propone la intervención de una forma orgánica. Un quiebre en sus cubiertas traslapadas separan en dos los ritmos y deformaciones de sus caras: permiten a su vez el ingreso de luz y ordenan el recorrido central que va secuencialmente siendo intervenido con patios que abren las vistas al entorno lejano.
The architectural proposal was to manage the facilities in an area with an imposing geography and great interest. The Chaparano River delta constitutes the immediate landscape and the endemic forest the scenographic environment. Both constitute a natural heritage to protect, the geographical references both near and far. The concept which inspired the architectural proposal was the idea of an intervention through a narrow gap of forest, which itself would control a linear process of arrangement of the operation, and an architectural design that would replicate the weathered finish of the existing site materials. The image of a fallen tree in the forest, hollowed out to seek the views and relations with the exterior, these were the generating ideas of the project. The office building has a controlled deformation, warping its edges to transform them into a continuum looking to lose references to the vertical and horizontal, and proposing the intervention of an organic form. A break on their overlapping decks separate in two the rhythms and strains of their facades: allowing the entry of light and ordering the central path which is sequentially articulated with patios open to the distant views of the surroundings.
