Italian Medieval built, Inspired from the European architecture, Castello di Amorosa is a 13th century Tuscan style castle and winery located in the heart of Napa Valley. Directly translated as the Castle of Love in Italian, built by Dario Sattui, a fourth generation wine maker.

OBJECTIVE

Choose an existing winery and designing a new look. Creating a packaging system for three variety of wine which includes the front and back label, cap design and a gift box packaging that for the premium wine.

APPROACH

Having wine at Castello di Amorosa is more than just sipping fine wine; It's a whole other experience. It feels like you are being transported to a European country. The underground wine caves and cellars creates such an intimate setting feel and makes it feel richer in history. With all the great details put into the 136,000 square foot castle, it inspired me to create a new and updated look for the brand thathighlights the essence of the Castle of Love.

APPROACH

The idea of this event is to create a party that encourages people to try something new and out of their usual routine, creating a community of the Early Risers. To create a day not only filled with energy but also intention. The color palette used is to project the sun rising during dawn and to attract its target audience of men and women ranging from 18-35. Other elements were used to incorporate the aspect of paint and to convey the dynamic flow of dance.

APPROACH

I chose All Nippon Airways (ANA) because it is one of the top three airline in the world of international flights and the few airline that strives to satisfy customers by providing the quality service instead of just low prices. I created a new identity that is able to reflect its mission to connect people and making the world closer together. Moreover, an identity that is able to communicate the airline's reliability, and at the same time hinting at the Mount Fuji which is known to be the symbolization of Japan. Tying back into the richness of the Japanese throughout the applications and using shades of blue to signify trustworthiness.

LocalEats curates a list of top things to try wherever you are going. Help familiarizing dishes with foreign names or language with a translation and brief description of what it is. Whether its Sundubu Jjigae, soft tofu stew in Korea or simply Manapua, pork bun in Hawaii, LocalEats is your local food guide in hand whenever and wherever you go.

One of the things that the human skeletal system and typography has in common is that they are both very complex as there are many elements to it. Din Struktur is cardset as tribute to Albert Jan Pool’s typeface, FF DIN, a cross study of science and typography.

APPROACH

The subject study of science can be rather complicated and monotonous. Therefore with the help of typography, it will be much more aesthetically pleasing to dive in and learn about the skeletal anatomy fascinating facts. For Din Struktur, I chose Din as the main typeface for its legibility and technical strong looks and then complementing it with strong imageries of the human skeleton. Moreover keeping it simple yet still impactful with the use of a vibrant red.

Boodles was named after the a gentleman's club in London. Boodles British Gin is bottled and distributed in the United Kingdom. Created in 1845, it is one of the gins to shape the flavor of the modern London Dry style gin, essentially vodka-like spirit infused with herbs and spices.

APPROACH

This gin is reputed to be the favorite gin of the Boodle's gentleman's club most famous member, Winston Churchill. For the evolutionary design, I kept their existing language and elevating it to match the exclusivity of an upper-class gentlemans club. For the revolutionary design I decided to create a product for the brand to expand to a different target audience of Millenials by creating a pre-made canned gin and tonic that are hassle free and ready to go.

Typevolution is a design conference that focuses on the evolution of typography, gathering leading designers to talk about typography from its earliest forms and predicting the future of type. Re:form is a conceptual experimental book that addresses the topic of the conference. The design aims to mix the old and new through the combination of the first typeface Adobe Jenson and the first San-serif, Akzidenz Grotesk. The duality is also shown through the graphics and color choices throughout the experimental book.
