You will have peace of mind. You will be someone who is no longer afraid of anxiety.
In order to get rid of OCD, you have to face anxiety because that is what keeps OCD alive! If you cut out the power supply to OCD, which is anxiety, OCD will instantly turn off. You don't have to know how everything works in order to control it. You don't have to know how electricity works to turn a light off!What you should really focus on is realizing and accepting the fact that OCD is just a habit. That OCD is powered by Anxiety and that once the anxiety is dealt with, the OCD disappears. If you are no longer afraid something will happen if you don't do a ritual, you don't have OCD! Everyone has OCD thoughts. People without OCD have OCD thoughts. They just react to them differently. They identify it as a dumb thought and toss it like garbage. You will learn how to do the same thing. When something really important in your life happens, that is when you will be most vulnerable with OCD thoughts. If you stay strong during these moments, you are indeed, OCD free!
