The Guidance Channel We live in a world flowing with information through known and not so well known sources. We are listening to the channels to which we are tuned to. The well known channels would be newspapers, periodicals, television, radio and social networking. There is another channel though a subtle one: our heart, our feelings and gut feelings. Some call that intuition or sixth sense. From where does it arise? It begins in thoughts and feelings. The thoughts are magnified by our experiences and a momentum is created. It is up to us to feed the more creative thought patterns or to listen to the fears speaking. At times I will suddenly remember a friend with whom I have no contact lately. I will have an urge to call her. And just a hello message elicits this story of how miserable she is and so on. We are also led to money making ideas by our inner guidance. So many businesses were created by single inspiring thought. The guiding mechanism is in built in all living beings. Observe a new born baby and she will save herself from imminent fall from a high bed many times. She will erupt in an shrill cry the moment she senses some danger. How does this guidance channel work? Who is guiding us? Are these some angels or our ancestors who whisper in our feelings. At other times it can be felt when peeping down from a high rise. The funny feeling in the stomach warns us of the danger ahead. Somebody makes a statement and you feel a sudden recoiling in the stomach. This is an indication that your inner guidance is giving you about that person or that statement. The guidance is not a loud shout accompanied by ringing bells from heavens to pay attention. It is a signal which can be observed and felt quietly by us. The guiding system as many of us have experienced is subtle and sort of a nudge to move forward on a decision. What direction we take and how continuously we take the steps towards the those ideas is

determined how well we are tuned in to our inner guiding channel and how much we believe in them. Have you heard about brilliant discoveries first visualised in a dream like state? Elias Howe discovered the first sewing machine in his dream. He was in the middle of a dream where Red Indians were firing arrows through cloth wigwams snagging threads and drawing the threads through with the tips of the arrows. Elias woke in the middle of his dream, rushed to his workshop, and put his 'dream' into practice. And the world got the first sewing machine! Dreams are a guiding channel available to us. The images and situation we see in our sleep are at many times the signals of a future promotion or travel. At other time we are just dreaming about our daily routine releasing those anxiety in the dream state. Dreams are a messaging system. Pay attention to dreams on a daily basis gives us a tool to live life on purpose. Some people say that they do not remember dreams. But that is not true. There are many experiments to show that all of us dream in certain cycles of sleep. If we make a clear intention to remember dreams and continue in our resolve to record and recall dreams, the practice makes us remember dreams more frequently.
Have you noticed the cloud formation lately? Clouds are always in the process of forming different shapes. Sometimes you may see birds or human faces or a alphabet in the cloud figures. Watching clouds and their shapes can give answers to the questions that we are asking in that moment. Mary Soliel, an author from Colorado has experienced many such extra ordinary cloud shapes. One of the most fascinating was a heart shaped cloud. Watching clouds is a constant developing story. One moment they are of a shape of a baby angel and a moment later the cloud has become a big giant ball. Cloud gazing is one my favorite activity while walking out in nature. It brings joy and smile every time I see a figure appear in the clouds. The birds chirp and sing different tunes at different hours in a

day. My grand mother would often predict arrival of a guest seeing how the crow sits on the corner of the wall and the way it crows. Those prediction came true very often. In cities too one can get into these habit of noticing how the sun rises in different angles in different months of the year. The sun beams make a particular angle with the peg of table at a certain time in the evening. There are times when one can see Jupiter or Venus in the sky. Noticing these subtle details sharpens our feeling mind. The guidance then flows easily through myriad of channels spread all around us. Sometimes to get guidance one has to put a break on the fast moving thinking train. Exercise, sports, yoga or just walking in a park are some of the steps we can take to move our physical body. The movement thus takes our mind off the usual chatter in the mind space. It helps us rejuvenate our tired brain cells. Imagine those long hours of studying or at the office. And just a ten minutes stretch during a break gave you enough energy and new perspective in the work that you were already doing. Similarly listening to that favorite melodious tunes helps to tune in our creative part. One may ask that I have taken a decision following my inner guidance and yet the decision did not turn out well. The question is any decision a bad decision and a bad decision only implies that we need to change the decision now and that is another decision. No one can predict the future or its effects on our living conditions. But following our inner guidance certainly gives us an internal mechanism to fall back to every time and as many times as needed.
