Subject: Declaration of results of UGC – NET June 2023 – reg.
The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship or both, for Indian Universities
The National Testing Agency has been conducting the UGC – National Eligibility Test (NET) for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and for Assistant Professorship since December 2018 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The UGC – NET June 2023 was conducted by NTA in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects in 02 phases panning over 09 days in 18 shifts in 181 cities across the country for 6,39,069 candidates, as per the following schedule:
In order to make the examination system transparent, the Question Paper, Provisional Answer Key(s) and Recorded Responses of the concerned candidates were hosted on the NTA website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in from 06th June 2023 to 08th June 2023 to invite challenges. Challenges received were verified by the experts and results were processed as per the answer keys finalized by experts.
Various steps were taken to streamline the administration and monitoring of test administration process:
• Setting up of Examination Control Room with virtual connection with Regional coordinators
• Appointment of following Examination functionaries to ensure the smooth conduct of UGC-NET:
➢ 02 National Coordinators, 18 Regional coordinators, 180 City Coordinators, 628 Observers and 10 Virtual Observers

A Control Room was opened in the NTA premises where Virtual Observers were deployed for live CCTV coverage of all Examination Centres in India.
Live CCTV Surveillance was done to curb malpractices in the examinations. The NTA has also made arrangements for live viewing at remote locations and recording CCTVs Systems of all examination centres at Control Room situated in the NTA. A total of approximately 62,064 cameras were installed
In order to stop cheating using mobile networks, Jammers were installed in all the Centres to prevent unfair practice by the candidates during the examination through mobile or any other electronic device. Appx 15,966 Jammers in all shifts were put in place.
Results of the UGC – NET June 2023 are now hosted on https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can login to the website and view/download/print their Score Card.
As per the UGC policy, 06% of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified.

The eligibility criteria, self-declaration, various documents, etc. of the eligible candidates shall be verified as per norms specified in the Information Bulletin 2023 NTA does not take any responsibility towards correctness/genuineness of the uploaded information/documents duringthe application process.
The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online applications, conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing the results to University Grants Commission (UGC), NFOBC data to NBCF&DC, NFSC data to NSFDC and NFPWD data to DEPwD Department of Social Justice & Empowerment of UGC NET June 2023, for further action at their end.
The certificates will be issued by NTA to the qualified candidates shortly.
