Activities: In addition to 45 minutes of open swim (three parks), a typical day can include: arts & crafts; board games; scavenger hunts; disk golf; potato-sack races, Quick Start Tennis, 1st Tee Golf, and sports such as baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, tennis, volleyball, lacrosse and golf. Nassau County reserves the right to limit the activities at each park. Special events: vary by park (as determined by staff) and include additional modest fees (as low as $1). Examples include visits from sports pros, tennis instruction, fun days such as crazy hat day, and food days such as ice cream day. Registration deadline: June 1, 2012: Registration fee of $25 applies to returning campers (from 2011) who register by March 1, 2012. Registration fee of $50 applies for new campers (regardless of registration date) and returning campers who apply after March 1, 2012. Registration fees are not refundable. Fees: 9 a.m. – 3 p,m., $600 for one child, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. $750 for one child Additional sibling discount: $30 off for a second child, $60 off for third child, $90 off for fourth child. Registration is now open for Child’s World Nursery School Summer Program. Enrollment is limited. The program is available to all students currently enrolled in Child’s World and to others ages 3 and 4 years old.
