MINIMAL HOUSE

MINIMAL HOUSE is born from a cubic volume of 9 meters per side that become the living space for one single person. The house is developed starting by the geometric composition of two cubic volumes, that generates all the spaces of the house for the user. These spa-

ces have been perfected, based on human figure. In conclusion, the construction details were studied based on the material chosen for the construction.

diffrent districts, becouse of this, the park will have cess to it. A part of the area is used as urban farm.

We decided to use all this critical issues as the starting point of our project, changing weaknesses into strong points of the area. The project of the area have been started from symbol buildings. Buildings that are an attraction for the area and make the area recognizable, thinked as attention points into a large natural park. We used the greenhouse type of building to have simple but big buildings that could interact with the park and also be the attraction from diffrent points of view around the area. The three greenhouses have the function based on

the critical issues defined into the analysis phase: (a) Activity center greenhouse (b) Ecological park train station (c) Vertical farm greenhouse

29

The individual part of the project was about the project of the buildings. My focus was on the train

station.

The

geometry chosed is simple and organic, with the intent to have a building that could be perfectly integrated into the park. I decided to take the mangrove plants as example, the design want to simulate a tree that come out of the river. The unique shape of it fit also with the other goal that we had, to create an attractor

for the area from the city

area. The second step of the project was about inner spaces planning, tecnhical details, and the control of the in-

tern environment. Attention was paid to the control of the heat effect of the greenhouse, managed with an opening system on the top of the dome that allow a natural ventilation.

W O R K EXPERIENCES

33

The training in my father’s ceramic workshop is defintly one of the most valuable experiences in my professional life. This experience, that i’ve started probably since I’ve been able to walk made me experiment freely in the geometric composition as a game in the beginning and to train my skills as a competent craftsman. While i was studing at the university i was also able to create my own works in the lab, such as the majolica tiles ispired by the venice’s ceramic school, composed for the fireplace in pictuce, and the project and realization of the

Working at Decorduemila Group s.r.l. Collaboration with Architect Rocco Pietro Bruno The working period at the Decorduemila group have been an occasion for my professional growth. I’ve worked for the first year always with the architect Rocco Pietro Bruno, designing new appartments with him, helping him with cad drawing and renders. After this trainership I’ve started design my own projects for the company, I also became a figure of connection between the Decorduemila group and Rocco Bruno such as other professionals that need to cooperate with the firm. As it can be seen by the pictures I realize residential interior projects, many of which are welcomed with enthusiasm by the client, presented with photo-realistic photos made with Cinema4D and V-Ray, developing a user-frien-

38

dly graphical language in the layout of the tables with Photoshop and Illustrator, making tables easily understandable to non-professionals. The projects are realized using programs such as AutoCAD 2D / 3D for the digital return of geometric surveys of the site. In numerous projects I have speeded up the conclusion by acting as a direct intermediary between suppliers and customers, guiding the latter in the choice of furnish-ings, trying to combine the interests of the company with those of the customer.
