■ Program : Flexible house : good for at least 3 distinct situations - a young couple with one child ; an old couple with no children and four friends living together ■ The Pladur brand is best known for its gypsum lath wall structures. “Cinémathèque in Porto” for Go-Architecture

■ Team with : Carlos Foyedo

■ 48hrs Competition @ Porto - 2010

■ Only 48 hours were given to render the proposal. The program asked for a cinémathèque in Porto’s historical center. The site was extremely poor in terms of accessibility which in our belief meant that an eventual construction would be very affected by this - it is only accessible by some old footstairs from one side and it has the funicular rail on the other. Rather than performing a sort of exercise of style we cared about this conditions and on it’s affordability. This made us propose a temporary structure that could be gotten by borrowing scaffoldings, pallets and mdf from the mayor’s office or by contacting brands for publicity

“Réamenagement de l’Agence Saint Lazare” for Crédit du Nord

■ 1st place / built

■ Competition @/for ECDM, Paris - 2008

■ The program asked to rehabilitate an old yet imponent, important and classified building in Paris - Avenue Lafayette nr. 159 - where Crédit du Nord headquarters were currently installed. It demanded for a complete turnover on the way the interior was functioning which led into deep study of the building’s components and what was being asked from the bank owners

“Covering Galeria de Paris” for Dédalo Magazine ■ Competition @ Porto - 2008

■ Program : To cover this very old and narrow street in Porto’s historical centre ■ Idea : To cover the street with giant helium baloons. This will avoid the presence and need for heavy structure. The baloons will be used for publicity (affordableness) and translucend which may increase it’s nocturne effect. The street is right next to Clérigos tower, considered to be Porto’s ex-libris, and in the heart of the city. There are a lot of bars and it is one of the cores of today’s Porto’s nightlife

“Container-made Double Pyramid” for Roskilde Festival ■ Competition @ Porto - 2011

■ ground plan

■ Unfinished..

■ Idea : the program asked for “something” to build in the festival’s cultural zone of about 9.000sqm. The idea was to set up this kind of double-pyramid made by a very systemic yet cahotic way of assembling containers. It would supposably be high enough to become a sight-seing place and able to provide for spots to people gather at different heights or enjoy a tridimensional labyrinth within the pyramid’s interior
