His research thesis is about green energy technologies, focusing on the solar greenhouse system and their contribution on the energy efficiency in buildings. During the university study the main topics

are architectural and technical design, analisys and condition evaluation of historical buildings, construction site design, urban planning. After the university he works with professional freelances in the graphic redaction of environmental impact studies, with energy certifications of existing buildings and as architectural consultant for Single Family Home Property. Kindergarten - school building The didactical design concerns the complex theme of the “school building. The first step is the analisys of the existing urban fabric, the context in which the building is located, accompanied by the children ‘s needs and actions beacuse they are the users of the structures. The second step is the geometrical composition, defining the distribution of the environmental units and paths. The external wall, with its shape and color is a barrier that separates the inner part of the school

and the external street. This barrier is a protection for the children and it defines the spaces and the access to the structure. In the garden a system of coloured vertical shaders takes in consideration the solar factor and a chromaticism closer to the school construction. The project takes account of this complex integrated system made up technological, functional and aesthetical components with an equal measure.

Urban Planning

The urban design, currently, has many problems but different from the past: the rehabilitation of the built and abandoned areas is the most important, being the main cause of saturation of urban land in medium and larges cities, due to a bad urban planning policy reducing soil and green areas,

that are became zones to protect. In the project is analyzed the current situation of one of the most degradated district of Cosenza: Via Popilia. Developing a series of systems and solutions aimed at the rehabilitation of brownfields on the basis of existingresources on the territory. year 2009

Archi di Sambiase - survey and historical aspects The theme of recovering existing buildings is a current issue, especially in the territory of Cosenza, with a saturated urban tissue and

the presence of an historical centre with a medieval style. For this reason protection and preservation of the cultural heritage are extreme-

ly heard today. The evolution of this project starts with an assessment about the state of art of the building, called Archi di Sambiase,

and the relation between it and its surroundigs. This is possible through literature and archival researches that permit to understand the process of construction of the structure and analyze the differ-

ent layers occurred in different times. Thus historical and critical operations promote the control of interventions on architecture, supported by the analysis of the conservative state of the artifact. year 2011

Integrated Cultural Center The aim of designing the integrated cultural center is to improve the experience regarding the organization of architectural and urban spaces. The project, in fact,

makes a strong relationship with the surrounding, because the geometrical shape brings the attention on a central area, thought to be the fulcrum and born as result of two

incident axis that indicate the connection between the cities of Rende and Cosenza; these two cities, today, are a continuous urban tissue due to their urban development.

Historical Museum The museum design phase takes account of many aspects, with a strong value especially regarding the building aesthetic. The project idea development is affected, in this didactical ex-

periment, by the Architect P. Eisenmann; it’s possible to identify and to read the presence of several grids in the urban space and understanding how these can overlap as layers, or indipendent

subsets, each one with it’s own structure, function and position. All these elements together determine the entire project, defining the location of strategic points of the architectural space.

Materials and forms in the facades tend to emphasize the importance of the museum that has as its objective the commemoration of a greek temple went almost completely

destroyed. The presence of glass columns emphasize this presence, but with a material in contrast to the history.

Piazza Garibaldi Regeneration The project involves the regeneration of an area of Catanzaro lido where once was located the main square of the urbansettlement: Garibaldi Square.

The idea, which responds to the lack of a social gathering place, is to restore the function of city center with the restoration of the abandoned build-

ing of the former market town which becomes the main actor in the composition of the spaces. The project idea leads to the rationalization of

space through a vertical axes system that forms the different areas of the square and outline a cover structure that accentuates the importance of the

Old Market converted in an Info Point due to its location adjacent to the railway station. year 2013

Sao Domingos de Rana regeneration The project, located in Portugal, in Sao Domingos de Rana, was born from the necessity of regeneration of a residential area that has suffered a massive illegal construction of houses including the pertaining area of the stream that runs through the site. The aims are the regularization of the urban fabric, the inclusion of services that can enhance the quality of life for the inhabitants,

The linking wall

Re-Use the old industrial area

the conversion of the industrial zone, partially abandoned, in a pole of attraction for young people. The design was born from the idea of the “Linking Wall: an architectural element used on an urban scale; it draws and defines the spaces, changing shape in every sector of the corridor, composed by green areas and services, connecting the district from north to south. year 2014

Indipendent House The renovation of existing buildings is becoming, given the reduction of soil, the main sector in the field of the construction agreeing with the new model of the compact city. This house was created with the intent to become an example for

the small town in which it is leased, Cirò Marina in Italy, for the optimization of space and attention to the reduction of energy consumption. Despite the free facades are only two, it is thought to minimize the openings on the north side

where it is affixed to an insulating surface that becomes an element of characterization of the building. On the west side are placed the main rooms with the presence of large windows adapted to have the maximum solar gain.
