WHO ARE DRAG QUEENS

The term consists of “Drag”, which stands for “Dressed Resembling A Girl”(dressed as a girl) is used to describrom “Queen” which means “queen” Then combined they give an idea of an artist over the top that, imitating women’s clothing, exasperate it intentionally. Have you ever asked these men who they are? What do they do once they get off their heels and down the curtain? Often behind every one drag a very simple boy with big dreams. The disguise is an instinct that can not be controlled. Absolutely not, never do that.

WHO ARE DRAG QUEENS

The dragthey are shameless, they are born behind a quintal of make-up, they create an alter ego, they can freely express themselves while remaining hidden, they balance their introverted personality with their dragged part. This is an absolute balance. they are different from transvestites. the difference lies in the fact that a transvestite wears the opposite sex habitually, in everyday life, while a drag queen does it for a specific event or a performance, in order to entertain an audience. We saw a lot of common people doing that.

PERFORMANCE AS A REAL JOB

Something fun but never vulgar The Drag Queen has to know how to juggle in various areas of entertainment, and it is this versatility to be decisive, for example, in a competition like ‘Miss Drag Queen Italy. The performances are funny, sexy, spregiudicate and ironic. Something fun but never vulgar. They performe in different ways, they can bring on stage medy shows, obviously always accompanied by music, as I tend to point out that our work is mainly made up of playback of songs or recited pieces. There are many types of Drag, but we all have the same goal: to entertain and cheer the audience. We always try to add more numbers to the Queen world, based on music, choreography and disguises, even shows with a little more elaborate threads. Sometimes we can also deal with the theme of work or that of death “. Very often, when a person discovers that he can work asa Drag Queen, he lets himself go to the bias and thinks that I am all homosexual and that he also disguises himself in private life. This is not the case, and I often have to fight against this prejudice that is not difficult to overtake.

You can work more on the image, thus deciding to focus more on the aesthetic side, or you can opt for a more elaborate character, perhaps specialized in the cabaret sector rather than singing or tied to dance. It is the show that adapts to the public, not viceersa. What I do on stage is completely relative to who I am in front of “. In other words, the famous numbers of lip-sync go to acting, cabaret, dance or presentation of events. “Drag means really playing with your identity. Prides like home The idea of dressing up is not always linked to the expression of a gender identity that is far from the biological one, but takes on the connotations of a game. Which is quite distinct from feeling like belonging to a gender other than that of birth, a very serious matter. A big big problem! associating these realities with negaToo often our society, dec tive and exasperated behaviors and atticeived by the kexternal as tudes, confusing the differences that pect, confusesu the other distinguish every human. Today many of the drag queens associate with their complex path of sexual identity that of discrimination due to not belonging to the Caucasian majority. Here too the message of the transmission is that of the inclusion and acceptance of the different. “If you can’t love yourself, how the hell are you going to love somebody else?” They are part of our community, they are themselves in a more eccentric and exuberant way, but they are harmless. On the contrary, they are funny, ironic and funny. Just love them and we surpass these useless and ephemeral prejudices that the world will be a better place to live in with beatufil feels.

BACKSTAGE OF PERFORMANCES

Despite the drag queens performing in eccentric performances, they are normal men. As the backstage photos show, drag, before being ‘’ queen ‘’ are common men who love to wear make-up and play a character. Backstage is a sort of limbo, where men are both ‘’ normal ‘’ and queen, a place where they can begin to express themselves and be themselves at their best.

BACKSTAGE OF PERFORMANCES

As you can see, the drag queen is not a fixed lifestyle, or rather, it is choice to live in two people. Those who are able to accept this impulse live this way of life serenely, and the moment of backstage becomes one of the most awaited. Men of all ages and all walks of life can finally put on make-up and dress up as drag queens, and they can do it without judgment or criticism.

We are all born naked, the rest ist drag. Being a drag queen instead overshadows the person who exists under the sequins, who is straight, gay or bisexual, to give life to the queen of fashion, to the woman of excesses that with her "I can all" cause a little of envy even in ordinary women.
