C
armen Martín es coautora de un estudio que analiza los casos de hiperpotasemia entre los años 2000 y 2016 en el Complejo Asistencial de Segovia, por el que el Colegio de Médicos ha concedido al grupo de investigadores del que forma parte uno de los dos premios que la Fundación Científica entrega a la Mejor Comunicación. Actualmente, Carmen se encuentra realizando el cuarto año de Residencia en el Servicio de Nefrología del Hospital General de Segovia, después de cursar sus estudios en la Universidad CEU San Pablo de Madrid. Y junto a los doctores Heras Benito, Fernández Reyes, Rodríguez Gómez, Calle García, Molina Ordás y Callejas Martínez, ha realizado el estudio que ha sido merecedor de esta distinción.

armen Martín is the co-author of a study that analysed cases of hyperkalaemia at the Complejo Asistencial de Segovia hospital between 2000 and 2016. Her research group has received one of two awards for best publication presented by the Scientific Foundation of the Segovia College of Physicians. Carmen is currently in her fourth year of residency at the Nephrology Department of Segovia General Hospital, having studied at CEU San Pablo University in Madrid. In addition to Carmen, the other authors of this study were doctors Heras Benito, Fernández Reyes, Rodríguez Gómez, Calle García, Molina Ordás and Callejas Martínez

ue la primera mujer en incorporarse a las Fuerzas Armadas y ahora puede convertirse en la primera mujer que alcance el rango de general. El nombre de Patricia Ortega figura en la lista de 43 coroneles que realizarán el curso de ascenso a general. Es madrileña, tiene 55 años y 30 años al servicio del cuerpo castrense. Patricia Ortega se formó en la Escuela Politécnica Superior del Ejército de Tierra. Allí obtuvo el título de Ingeniero de Construcción. En su currículum figura un largo historial de titulaciones, entre ellas, la diplomatura en Dirección y Gestión de Proyectos por la Universidad CEU San Pablo. Por sus manos pasó la creación del nuevo Centro Militar de Farmacia. 32 • CEU views

his former student was the first woman to join Spain’s armed forces and may now become the first to reach the rank of general. Patricia is one of the 43 colonels who will take the course to become generals. Born in Madrid, Patricia is 55 years and has spent 30 years in the military. She graduated from the Polytechnic Army School with a degree in Construction Engineering, and her extensive CV features an impressive array of qualifications, including a degree in Project Management from CEU San Pablo University. She was also involved in the creation of the new Pharmaceutical Military Centre.
