This very short book by Usha Vardhan Sharma brings out some touching moments of human life as a tribute to humanity and human values. The book gives a glimpse of experiencing different shades of life in all its glory. The author talks about some personal incidents that touched her heart and made a deep impact on her mind. There are values like honesty, integrity, self belief, viewing rituals as a propeller to self esteem and dignified living, personal growth, selfless social service and community enrichment. The book contains twelve short stories but leaves a lasting impact on readers. It is an autobiographical account of her own journey as a newly wed, a mother, teacher and as an influencer in bringing social change.

In one of her stories she cites an example of a Thirsty Crow, that tells how all the solutions lies at the root of a problem. It is therefore important to understand that one need not be perturbed on facing a new situation or problem. The book brings out some incidents of pre-independence era when she came to know the contribution of her father-in-law, Master Bhola Nath who got associated with Mahatma Gandhi in changing the skyline of Alwar, by opposing educational cess levied by British and propagating the importance of education and khadi culture way back in the 1930s. Gandhi ji communicated with Bhola Nath ji personally to make him feel that his contribution to the freedom movement was indispensable.

The author writes in the book how she feels blessed to not only get married to the right person but in the right family. Each story in the book reminds the reader, the power to make another person happy and if we all make practice it, this world would be governed by love and care and a better place to live in.

I would recommend the book to every reader to realise, how a positive outlook can change one ' s life for betterment of self and others. In nutshell book is a tribute to motherhood in all its dimension.

Published by Blue Rose the book is available in Amazon and Flipkart.
