This portfolio shows a part of my work done during my studies ARCHITECT/ENGINEER at INSA Strasbourg on my own projects or on other projects I’ve helped to realise. This cursus doesn’t have any other equivalent. It has for ambition to create a true symbiosis between the world of architecture and engineering. Mingling these two visions as complementary and interdependent all along the training, we’re developping a strong and new way of conceiving in each field. Using this particularity of our school, we enrich our projects, always keeping a critical view on the sensibility, the feelings, the structure and the environmental questions.

FINAL YEAR STUDY PROJECTS
Every year, architecture students at INSA Strasbourg are used to working together in order to help the final year students to realise their project. This process is one of the biggest event in our students life. It is a pure moment of knowledge and sharing of ideas. Each students have things to learn from the upper grade students and bring an essential help and an outside look on the projects. Let me present in this part, succesively, the projects I’ve worked on.
RESEARCH AND SURVEY GLACIERS CENTER Le Montenvers, Chamonix, Alpes Maxime KUSTER project (2016)
This project has been realised during my first month at INSA’s architecture training. I had to realised all the models with two second year students. Maxime KUSTER, person in charge of the project, wanted to work on this area to redefine the relation between humans and this particular environment called «the ice sea» which is nowaday jeopardized by mass tourism.
Our challenge was directely connected with the project localisation and its extreme topography. We realised three models with these conditions.
RECLASSIFICATION : LA CASA DEL PLUMAREJO - SEVILLE
Noémie PLAISANT project (2017) function : model manager
During my second participation to the final year study project, I worked on Noémie PLAISANT’s project. It consisted in a cultural housing reclassification in Seville. This building is a testimony of an old andalusian housing typology : the «casas de vecinos». Now, it suffers from its position near the city centre and the lack of its patrimny maintenance. The issue in this work was to reveal the history of the monument in our models and showing how pertinent was the intervention. We’ve realised a lot of test in order to find the best representation by materialities for each scale. We finally succeeded to show the historical patchwork effect existing in the building and the spirit in the place followed by the project.
The act of conceiving is really hard to understand. Time and practice are the keys to master it. As students, we are trained with that question all along our formation. I show here some of my projects realised with different requirements depending on the year.
This project was the first I realised alone. A library is the perfect place for a first reflection for its inspiring atmosphere and poetic environemnt. Using the contextual elements, I intuitively drew a line turning around an hundred year old oak. From this draft I deduced my roof form and floor to create different but continuous arrange-
A HOUSING UNIT LA WANTZENAU, ALSACE
Our second year is focused on the housing question and the insertion in the cities. Around these thems, we had to realise a housing unit with a partner in la Wantzenau, a village near Strasbourg. Our concept consisted in a continuity into a change like an anamorphosis. Our unit brought new ways of living from the metropolitanization of la Wantzenau but keeping the area spirit. The morphology is similar, expending from the existing and creating new spaces and arrangements
ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIMENTS Working on big projects is interesting but it is important to practice architecture also with little mental exercices. That is what regularly we do with short exercices. Here are some of them. THE FACADE. Reflexion about the equilibrium and the question of lateral amplitude. BLIND. Traducing the description of one student who has seen a space picture. Reflexion with words and dimensions. THE HUT. Inspired by le Corbusier. Minimum life necessary, relation with the human in meditation and the environement
EXHIBITION PAVILLION STRASBOURG (port du Rhin)
DRAWS, SKETCHES, LANDART...
To master the «see», to learn the «look». As architects we are always connecting humans, spaces and feelings. It’s important to explore space by the most possible ways. I show there some experiments on the environment as journeys or exercices
LIGHT AND FORMS
LAND ART (Brumath’s forest, Alsace)
Realisation during a seminar «thinking the city, thinking the life». Just like the dense cities’ allegory, we create and direct the look as the movement in the forest.
