LOCKER ROOMS Our facility has four locker rooms available. Adult locker rooms are located on the main entrance level, with access to the swimming pools, steam room and sauna. Unsupervised youth under age 14 are required to use the Youth and Family Locker Room.

FACILITY IMPROVEMENT WEEK AUG 27-SEP 3 Our facility will be closed for maintenance August 27September 3. You are welcome to visit any other Snohomish County Association branch for your workouts and wellness activities. Our Member Services desk will be open for registrations and payments from 8 am-5 pm.

PAYMENT OPTIONS Bank draft/credit card payments are a convenient way to pay membership fees and ensure your membership is current. New membership activation requires a onemonth payment of membership dues, joining fees and pro -rated monthly fees at time of enrollment as well as banking account information. Annual payments are perfect for members who want to pay for their membership one year at a time. This option requires payment of 12 months plus joining fee at time of enrollment.

SWIM, SPORTS & PLAY YOUTH WATER ACTIVITIES SWIM LESSONS Learn water safety and survival skills while developing proficiency in the fundamentals of swim strokes. Fall A (Begins Sept 4) $6-7 FM/ $20-23 PM Fall B (Begins Oct 22) $7 FM/ $23 PM Group Swim Lessons Ages 6 months-16 years Various times and days available, see flyer for details Teen Swim Lessons Ages 12-16 Saturdays, 11:20 am Special Needs Adaptive Program (SNAP) Ages 5-12 Saturdays, 9 am SNAP is a group lesson built to fit the needs of your swimmer. This program is a great option for youth with Aspergers, Autism, sensory integration issues, hearing or visual impairments, or other needs. Instructors modify course work and skills to fit class needs using space, sound, visual aids\ and touch. Parent should come prepared to swim with their child the first day.

SWIM LESSONS FOR ALL!

Water safety is an important skill for all children and adults. We’ve lowered our prices to make swim lessons and the skills they teach more accessible for all. Y PALS WATER PLAY Ages 3-5 Mondays & Wednesdays, 5-6:30 pm Our Y Pals staff offer children a safe and structured aquatic program while you enjoy the Y. Please bring your child in their swimsuit at the designated times. Children may swim for up to one hour. Free Facility Member Privilege

PRIVATE LESSONS All Ages Get one-on-one help from our trained coaches as you develop your swimming skills. $80 Facility Member / $110 Program Member Swim lesson schedules are subject to change. Please check with Member Services to confirm classes before registering.

YOUTH & ROOKIE SPORTS Make new friends while learning basic skills, rules and sportsmanship with an emphasis on participation and fun! Our league is supported by parent volunteers and Y Staff. Parents are encouraged to get involved with their child’s love of sports by volunteer coaching, refereeing and providing snacks. $38 Facility Member / $67 Program Member

KINDERGARTEN ENRICHMENT Ages 5-6 This program continues to foster all areas of your child’s development throughout the day. Activities include creative arts, science, dramatic play and more. This program is available to children who attend AM Kindergarten only. Transportation provided by the Y.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE Grades K-5 Children receive homework help, character development, cultural enrichment and fitness right in their elementary school Monday-Friday as early as 6:30 am and after school until 6:30 pm.

AFTER THE BELL RECREATION FOR TEENS TEEN TECH CENTER Grades 6-12 Monday-Friday, 3-6:30 pm Join us in the afternoon for homework help, a game of pool, foosball, time on internet-connected computers, Xbox Kinect, special clubs, or just to hang out with friends. Snacks are available for purchase.

Y AFTER SCHOOL AT NORTH MIDDLE SCHOOL Grades 6-8 Monday-Friday, North Middle School, 2:45-3:45 pm Everett Family Branch, 4:00-5:30 pm Teens are invited to get help with their homework, eat a snack, make new friends, and have fun doing enrichment projects led by Y Staff. Teens will then walk to the Y for games, sports, field trips, and more.

TWEEN & TEEN REC Grades 6-12 Monday-Friday, 4-5:15 pm Shoot hoops or kick a soccer ball during this reserved time in the 80’s gym. Parents are always welcome!

TEEN STRENGTH ORIENTATION Ages 12-13 Schedule a time to learn the ins and outs of the Wellness Center: cardio, weights and safe lifting techniques. After three sessions you will earn access to exercise on your own. Parental release form required.

TEEN BASKETBALL Grades 6-12 September, dates coming soon! Join the Everett Family Y as we host a basketball fundamentals and strength clinic. Our basketball coach will teach you the fundamentals and run through shooting techniques. All participants must pre-register. Free Facility Member Privilege/$5 Program Members

Y ADVENTURES Grades 6-8 Schedule coming soon! Enjoy action-packed day trips during Everett School District non-school days and half days. Activities may include rock climbing, bowling and more.

DATE NIGHT COUNSELOR Grades 7-12 Earn volunteer credit for school and Y-Credit to use on High School Programs while providing valuable volunteer service. Run a sleepover at the Y for youth ages 6-12 by planning and presenting activities, snacks and games.

YOUTH MAKING A DIFFERENCE (YMAD) Grades 6-12 October 10-November 14 Wednesdays, 5:30-7 pm at the Teen Tech Center A great way for your teen to get involved in their community. YMAD is a service and leadership club run by teens. Teens meet once week to plan and participate in service projects, community events and serve as the Teen Advisory Council for the YMCA.

MINORITY ACHIEVERS PROGRAM Grades 6-12 Program offered at North Middle School, Evergreen Middle School & Everett High Schools Teens are supported in setting and achieving higher education goals. We provide help with homework, applying for college, tutoring, and field trip opportunities. *Transportation home will be provided to students who attend North Middle School.

LIVESTRONG AT THE Y

Begins September 11 Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1-2:30 pm Perseverance through cancer is a remarkable accomplishment. At the Y you can continue your journey of recovery, gaining strength and support in a program created specifically for survivors. Exercise improves longterm survival and quality of life by reducing fatigue and stress, enhancing self esteem and improving fitness. Free program with 90-day, post-treatment doctor clearance and interview with the Wellness Director.

WELLNESS CONNECTIONS Initial consultation to help identify where you are on your wellness journey. WELLNESS FOR LIFE On-going support and check ins from your wellness coach for as long as you require it. ACTIVETRAX ORIENTATION Our web-based tool provides you with progressive workouts and nutritional guidance. SENIOR STRENGTH Support and education on proper technique using ActivTrax. TEEN ORIENTATION/TRAINING Strength training guidance with our wellness coaches for our teen members ages 12-14.

YOUTH STRENGTH & CONDITIONING Thursdays, 4:15-5 pm You don’t have to be on the soccer team to be fit and healthy. Youth Strength & Conditioning keeps kids active while improving agility, core strength and cardiovascular fitness; all done in an encouraging, fun environment. Free Facility Member Privilege

WINTER CONDITIONING Begins in October Take your overall athleticism to the next level and train for your next competition with Winter Conditioning. Receive personalized workouts, pre and post evaluations and weekly trainer sessions in a group setting over a two -month session. Pre-registration required and limited to 8 participants per trainer. $100 Facility Members/ $150 Program Members

JOURNEY TO FREEDOM Begins in October Discover a lifetime of hope, health and happiness through this dynamic, six-week course based on Scott Reall’s book Journey to Freedom. ADULT BEGINNER SWIM LESSONS

Ages 14+ Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 8:30 am & 5:30 pm Looking for a low-impact way to get yourself in shape? Improve your strength, toning, mobility, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness with a different kind of workout. No swimming skills required and stairs provide easy access in and out of the pool.

Ages 16+ Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:45 pm Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:20 am, 5:10 pm For adults who don’t feel at ease in the water or who have never participated in swim lessons, this is the class for you! Non–swimmers are taught basic swimming skills and water safety. Fall A (Begins Sept 17) $6 FM/ $20 PM Fall B (Begins Oct 22) $7 FM/ $23 PM

ARTHRITIS WATER FITNESS Arthritis Water Fitness is a safe, recreational water fitness class designed to promote functional endurance as well as musculoskeletal flexibility and strength. This class is ideal for those recovering from an injury.

LAP SWIM Ages 14+ The Y reserves one lane for lap swimming at all times. Looking for a quiet time to swim? Visit Member Services for suggestions or check out our pool schedules, available online and via our mobile app.

CONQUER YOUR FEAR Ages 16+ This class is designed to give anyone the confidence they need to join in the fun at our pool. After four one-on-one sessions with our Y swim coaches you’ll be confident and competent in basic swimming skills and water safety. $60 Facility Member/ $105 Program Member for four pre-scheduled, one-on-one sessions

ADULT TEAM SPORTS CHALLENGE COURT & RACQUETBALL LEAGUE Challenge Court: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6-8 pm Racquetball League: Fridays Sharpen your skills and get to know other community members. Participants will be matched with partners at similar skill levels. Racquetball challenge court times are also available. Free Facility Member Privilege/$39 Program Member

FAMILY TIME ACT! (ACTIVELY CHANGING TOGETHER)

Starts September 11 Tuesdays, 4:30 pm ACT! is a nutrition, activity and self-improvement program for overweight or at-risk kids ages 8-11, teens ages 12-14, and their parents. Our Y Health & Well-Being Team teaches fun ways to be active, make healthy meals, and create healthy lifestyles for the whole family. Contact our Wellness Director Gael Thomson at gthomson@ymca-snoco.org to register. Free program with doctor referral. At least one adult must participate with their child.

October 6, 2012 Comcast Arena Edward D. Hansen Conference Center Join us as we celebrate our 26th Annual Bright Futures Benefit Auction. This exciting, cocktail-attire evening features dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and fantasy casino tables. Proceeds provide YMCA programming and services to teens in our community. To make a donation, volunteer or purchase tickets, stop in at the Y or visit ymca-snoco.org/brightfuturesauction.

Your Y is here to develop programs that help you and our community, achieve balance in spirit, mind and body. We need your help to establish what you need from us. Join our Well-Being or Family Advisory council and represent your community as we create new programs and support our members. Meetings are held monthly. Dates and times are set by the group. INVEST IN YOUTH CAMPAIGN Together we can build stronger, more inclusive communities, provide support for families, and promote positive change overall. Contributions to annual Invest in Youth campaign keep the Y available to the youth and families who need us most. When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact in your own neighborhood. Talk to our Volunteer Champion for information on how you can be part of this national initiative.

SOCIAL SERVICES Y COMMUNITY Y Community provides free or reduced-fee activities to families in partnered emergency and transitional shelters. Activities vary from the YMCA and other locations. Register with your caseworker or the YCommunity Coordinator.

COMMUNITY HARVEST FEST Sunday, October 14 1-4 pm at the Everett Family Y Enjoy an afternoon of creativity and excitement with our Harvest Fest. Recycle your old costume and get a new one for the year with our costume trade center, make inspiring crafts to take home and enjoy fun, family activities to ring in the Fall season.
