Trasla

is a closable ladder designed for small flats, where free space lacks. It works thanks to the use of standard joints and it’s composed by a reduced number of components, so that it isn’t expensive. The walnut wood guarantees durability and confers a good aesthetic outcome.

Poseidon is a set of kitchen tools composed by a fork, a knife, a spoon and a bottle opener. They’re characterised by continuos sinous lines and a large grip for a good comfort. The knife’s handle is inverted, contrary to the 2011 traditional knives, guaranteeing a good grip.

REQUEST Design a souvenir of Naples city Street Partecipaction

is a thematic guide of Naples focused on the street art. It is organized in 3 different booklets, based on diverse purposes: 1. INFO BOOKLET which has the goal to inform about street art techniques, specifically the ones of the Neapolitan artists; it includes a map of Naples to reach some of the most important pieces of art through the streets. 2. LIKE BOOKLET, the visitor is invited to do some activities, such find new unknown art pieces, photograph them and notice their position in order to share them with other people in the dedicated facebook page. 3. ACTION BOOKLET, the turist has the possibility of participate to organized art event dedicated to street art, in order to experience the techniques and have fun. The guide also includes different kind of supports which emulate the tipical materials on which the street artists do their works, so the consumer can simulate the experience to be an artist with the included marker.

Spira

is a fan heater placeable in many spaces and capable of different directions of the air flow. It can be placed on a table, on the ground and, as a plus, it can be hang on horizontal bars. Designed for the bathroom, it can be also used in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the home office, or everywhere you need. It can be overturned in two different directions in order to directing the air where it is necessary, this means having an additional function without additions in terms of money, in fact it avoids a supplementary costly mechanism for the directioning. It has an internal led with different colours depending on the kind of use (cold-hot), that allows to recognise which function is activated, and also to signal the state of on-off.

Spira has minimal dimensions

and so it is easily usable in small environments, as the bathroom, where the hot function is the most used.

It is a bedside cabinet. Its goal is to simplify the Design a product for hospitalization life for the patients the medical field forced in bed for medium-long periods. This condition is very heavy by itself, they have to have the most comfort possible and so have everything handy. It means that Next is mounted on rails fixed to the wall, so that it can be moved easily with only a hand along the wall. The drawers are designed to be opened easily toward the patient, in order that he can view the content and so have everything reacheable. Thanks to other telescopic rails mounted under the cabinet, it can be moved from the bottom wall till to come up beside to patient when he’s in a seated position, which is an assumable posture with an hospital bed. Every surface is smooth and without sharp edges, in order to avoid dust and bacteria accumulation for hygiene reasons. For the same reasons Next is also raised from the ground, for having a easier cleaning of the floor. SINTESI FINALE Everything is thinked to be used on the left or (THESIS PROJECT) on the right of the bed, for every kind Industrial Design Degree of need. 2014/2015

I tested the prototype near to a real hospital bed. I understood that the most important value was to guarantee the major proximity to the patient, for his wellness. First of all, the cabinet has to be easily movable, the answer stands in the use of rails for sliding it along the wall and for an extraction of it toward the patient in the seated position. After that, it was clear that the dimensions were too big for the needs of a hospital room and that the movement of the table and the extraction of the drawers were not easier enough for a public context. Also I understand that was better having less drawers but more surfaces, due to the trend of the patients to leave things handy for a major comfort. It’s easier to put things over a plan that place them into a drawer.

FUNCTIONING CABINET MOVIMENTATION The bedside cabinet is mounted on rails fixed on the wall, this means that it is raised from the ground. The advantages are in terms of mobility (the rails are more efficient than the wheels, which jam after few time), and in terms of hygiene (facility in floor cleaning). 1

CABINET SLIDING & TABLE CONFIGURATION

The sliding along the the wall allows that the patient can easily manage it: move it closer in order to place objects on it, or distances it in order to open the drawers. So it’s possible to put the cabinet indifferently on both side of the bed, accomplishing all the needs of different patients.

Also the integrated table can be adapted for an ambidextrous use, thanks to its rotations.


INTEGRATED TABLE The table rotates over the bed to be used for eating or perform other activities.

The table can be extract till the centre of the bed, for a major comfort of the patient, who maintains a correct posture.

Foglia is a closable pasta machine. It allows to dry cutted pasta in order to conserve it and consume it after days.

Foglia

takes the minimal amount of space, all the tools are stored in the product body. Its curve is designed to allows a better management of the dough.

It is an emotional product designed for elderly people. The goal is to reduced the distances between old people and their loved ones, with a simple device easy to use. The grandma can choose between few presetted messages to be send to relatives. These messages, corresponding to few keys, are linked to colored LEDs, sounds and vibrations which have the target of communicate information in a multisensorial way.

REQUEST Design a modular covering structure for a satellite antenna

Ondebase is a modular system of shells and small doors to protect a satellite antenna. The shapes are designed to be functional at the pouring out of the rain. A series of gaskets prevent the entrance of water and dust, in order to protect the electrical elements inside the antenna. A system of air fans is located inside to guarantee the cooling of the electronics, so one of the two small doors is equipped with air vents.
