Takeout Sweaters, New York, NY (June 2014 to Aug 2014)

Paid Internship Gained big picture perspective on the Manufacturing-Design-Retail ecosystem during summer internship, assisting Takeout with preparation for the deployment of 20 seasonal collections aimed at Millenials. Provided visual merchandising for extremely high-volume “market week” showroom under the guidance of two talented and experienced Takeout buyers and one women’s fashion designer before taking on the role autonomously. Assembled tech packs indexed by buyer, organized 8-12 color swatch sheets by season via Order Management System, and created Excel spreadsheet to track seasonal collections. Regularly delivered samples to NYC-based in-store buyers including JCP, Kohl’s, Macy’s, American Eagle, and Burlington Coat Factory. Worked as a liaison between buyers and designers, coordinating shipping/receiving of samples to/from New York, LA, Hong Kong, Chicago, Ontario, and Toronto.
