How does water get to your faucet?


If you live in the city your water comes from a

reservoir.


The water in the reservoir is collected from rivers and brooks and from

rain&


&snow. It is stored there and made pure and clean.

run under the street to carry it to you.

As long as the level in the

remains high, it can run right to your house without any help because water can climb back to the height where it started.


If you live in the country your water may come from your own well or

private storage plac which was dug deep in the earth to reach the level of water much deeper than the water reservoir

A

pump is needed to push the water into pipes to travel upward into your house.
