I.PROJECT 1: LAYERING This project surrounds the idea of repetitive work and going beyond the comfort zone. In order to understand any object or movement in a different level, one must work non-stop through contrastable exercise such as drawing. This way of practice will bring our conception of everyday object to a state where we can investigate and analyze with details. It will also trigger curiosity and force us to explore object in a form of communication, which is drawing. 4

II.PROJECT 2: COLLAGING Using images from magazines as material to coat and bring story to object is the main point of this project. From finding relationship from images, object and the story, the final product will reflect a part of designer as well as bring understanding about two-dimension and three dimensions. It will also keep designer thinking in order to find the right pattern for each part of the object. It provokes concentration and artistry. 8

III.PROJECT 3: TOOLING In order to see opportunities in design, one must experiment and look at things in different perspective. Tooling is a good example of this spirit. It lets students free their mind and challenge the norms within everyday objects. This project also leads towards understanding of guiding creativity while having constraint. It would be an extremely helpful exercise for initiating the mindset of thinking outside the box.

IV.PROJECT 4: SYNTHESIZING Essentially, the name of this project describes it pretty well. It is the combination of three previous projects. Drawing from practice, trained point of view, and curiosity, it pushes the limit of design process and gives student chance to finalize it. By choosing the site from human body, it will create a familiar as well as challenging environment. The final product will require high skill of craftsmanship as well as beauty and function in design. 13
