Japanese Student Organization APRIL 2011
JSO hosts its annual Spring Festival The Japanese Student Organization will host its 6th annual Spring Festival this Sunday, April 24th in the Archie Griffin Ballroom West at the Ohio Union. The festival will be from 10:30 to 4:30 and will feature many live performances, culture booths, and many other exciting activities. Admission is free and so are the many crafts at the culture booths. Bento boxes and tea bottles will be available to purchase. This year, performances include koto group, aikido, and many more! Koto is a traditional Japanese string instrument and the group is composed of Japanese female residents of Columbus. They perform in many events and we are very fortunate that they are able to perform at this year’s festival. The aikido group returns again this year, performing their martial arts skills. Be sure to stop by the many culture booths! You can make an origami craft, write your name in calligraphy, or try on yukatas and kimonos! For more information, please contact us at email@example.com
