CRIMSON CHAOS APRIL 2014
Support Alabama Gymnastics During Its Championship Run The 2014 NCAA Gymnastics National Championship will be hosted in Birmingham, Ala. The Alabama gymnastics team will return to the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Ala., just two weeks after winning the SEC Championship in dramatic fashion in the same building. This time, the team is searching for more hardware, as the NCAA Gymnastics Championships are being hosted in the arena for the first time in the history of the event. That is where Crimson Chaos comes in to play. With the action going down less than 60 miles from campus, Crimson Chaos is encouraging students to come cheer on the Tide. “Whether we’re at home in Coleman Coliseum, at the BJCC [for the SEC Championship] in Birmingham or across the country, our ladies bring out the fans,” Alabama gymnastics Coach Sarah Patterson told ‘Bama Magazine. “We love to compete at home in front of the best fans in the world, but it’s gratifying to know that wherever we are, there’s going to be a crowd.” Students have always shown up and supported the gymnastics team, and that is a big reason that, for the second consecutive year, UA’s gymnastics team has led the
nation in overall attendance. Tickets are available to purchase for the championships through ncaa. com and Ticketmaster. The championships run Friday, April 18, through Sunday, April 20, with the final day deciding the individual champions. All session tickets range from $40 to $70, while individual session tickets range from $15 to $30. Crimson Chaos has chartered a bus for Friday’s semifinal sessions and Saturday’s championship, assuming the Crimson Tide advance. In order to reserve your spot, please contact president
Daniel Spaulding via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). “Our fans were amazing [at the SEC Championship in Birmingham],” Patterson told ‘Bama Magazine. “They really inspired our ladies to great heights throughout the night and helped carry us to another championship.” Let’s make sure Crimson Chaos is there for the Crimson Tide as they look to bring home the program’s seventh national championship. Show up, clad in crimson and make some noise. Let’s make the BJCC Arena into our second home. Be the Chaos. Roll Tide.
