Prayers of an Excellent Wife

eliciously Gracious Master, When my husband finds himself divided in his desires, help him. There will be times when he delights in Your law in his inner being, but he sees in his members another law waging war against the law of his mind and making him captive to the law of sin that dwells in his members. And when he cries, “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?� make him hope in You through Jesus Christ his Lord! O beloved, it is my joy to remind you that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. O God, cause him to exult in the knowledge that You have done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending Your own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, You condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Although his body is dead because of sin, give him life by the Spirit because of righteousness! Amen (Romans 7 & 8).
