Analysis about my recorded activity After analyzing the recorded activity, I could say that:
The use of space was minimum during almost the whole recording (the equivalent of the large of the whiteboard that was on the wall). Just in one moment (that I had got near a students to hear better what he was asking) I used more space. When speaking, I used a lot my hands in order to make it clearer. This is something I am used to doing. The posture was not the correct (at least for me) since my back was curved and does not represent authority in front of the class. Sometimes I got lost at explaining the activity so there were some “dead” moments (using “eeehhh” at some moments for instance). There is a particular moment that I wanted to explain the meaning of “feed” but I could not imagine an explanation. Maybe I could use an example instead of a definition. In my opinion, I used an audible voice (the video was recorded at the final of the classroom) and a varied tone (this is helpful for us to get students’ attention). Something I do not like about my “performance” in front of the class was that I had my hands inside the pockets for many minutes. During the introduction of the activity I emphasized pretty much about the questions they had to practice. What I did not do (and that is very essential in any class) is CQC. I did not ask the students if they had understood the activity. Next time, I will have to do it.
P.S.: The video lasted around 15 minutes due to my cellphone memory capacity.
