Mexican Sushi and Japanese Tacos!!! Taka Taka, sheds new light on SoHo casual dining. Mezcal meets Sake and Sahimi meets Raspado infusing an exciting mix of Mexican edge to classical Japanese recipes such as Tempura Shrimp Tacos, Sushi Caliente, and Litchi Margarita’s. Chiles are added to sushi’s, tortillas to teppanyaki, and chipotles to teriyaki. Sporting a hi-fi conveyor belt, these hot tamales are then transported to waiting tables. Elements of traditional Japanese design are fueled by a mod-organic twist, resulting in a sleek and dynamic new dining destination. Taka Taka is located on the corner of Grand Street and West Broadway adjacent to the Soho Grand Hotel and next to long-established hot spots like Lucky Strike and Felix. “Next time you’re grazing around Soho, “freakin’ starving,” whining to your friends that you’re not sure if you want Mexican or Japanese (come on, how many times has that happened?), there’s a new neon-lit restaurant to make our huge life decisions just a little easier. Outpost on the corner of Grand and West Broadway. Think: Mexican sushi and Japanese tacos ... Mezcal meets sake ... sashimi meets raspado ... and all kinds of caliente just dripping in kimonos.” -Grub Street
