Students Residence La Mariscal Location: Quito, Ecuador
The project aims to condense and generate a dialogue between the most introverted space of the university student and social spaces (work and leisure) in the same building. This sits on a corner lot that is located in the La Mariscal neighborhood, bordered by vehicular and pedestrian traffic routes.
Barrio La Mariscal
The student rooms rise from the floor and form a frame which contains the social spaces (media library, games room, auditorium); and at the same time it is deformed to correspond to the two fronts of the corner. The ground floor is released and is understood by a cafeteria and reception.

Social Housing Bahia de Caraquez ManabĂ Ecuador Housing: Diego CĂłrdova Boulevard: Jordi Venegas
After the earthquake in the 16S, a high-density and low-rise social housing project was proposed for the city of Bahia de Caraquez. In order to reduce the housing deficit of the city and provide a space that can potentiate the economic and social development of the inhabitants and the city. The proposal consists of 7 lots lined up in a row that join the two banks of Bahia. At the same time the lots are intended to mark a growth limit of the city to prevent it from spreading to the high risk zone.
Master plan: - Housing that shelters an average family in its initial stage. - 80 homes per lot. - An elevated pedestrian crossing that crosses all the lots and connects the two lateral edges The House: - The house grows, it is still built by the family after its delivery.
Floor plan The grouping is carried out by attaching several units of House 1 and House 2. These are oriented from North to South and from East to West respectively, and by joining they form blocks of 5 to 15 houses. The versatility of these blocks allows the density of housing is high and also that the built space yield space to the public space.
Cultural Center of the Americas Central area of Quito Group: Isabel Herrera Diego Cรณrdova
The Cultural Center of the Americas is a place that responds to the need for a space where the local and international community can develop as a cultural and society. The lot is located in one of the most important points of the city, it is bordered by the Interoceanic road which is the entrance of the city from the airport. The building has to be developed in conjunction with the existing Plaza Argentina that is located in front of the lot. This plaza has been deteriorated over the years and the road constructions around it, to the point of becoming a traffic circle with restricted access to pedestrians. The square is surrounded by 5 avenues of high vehicular circulation.
The Argentina square extends over December 6 and connects with the CCA lot. In this way, the vehicular traffic is not interrupted and the plaza is connected pedestrically with the building. The square is provided with accesses on several sides and leads the passers-by to the plaza, bridge and finally to the CCA.

“This historic district was the first city named to UNESCO World Heritage Site and is noted for its narrow streets, Spanish colonial architecture and historic attractions The ancient city is located on the slopes of the Pichincha volcano, the city is based on a very rugged topography, causing the plot to deform on the vertical axis. The lots and roads are on different slopes, some more pronounced than others, reaching almost 12 degrees of slope, challenging pedestrian and vehicular mobility. In pedestrian routes, for climbing the slope were built steep stairs that reach 100 meters in length.
Quiroga path plan
The state of the center is still very precarious, which generates social and economic problems in the different neighborhoods of this sector. So that The street Mideros is a way that communicates a commercial sector in the lowest level and a residential sector with schools and even a museum in the extreme northwest where the staircase is located. 1. Quiroga path The plan consist in specific intervention in the four areas previously mencionated. In the Quiroga path, a pedestrian road in the highest location, the aim is to transform it into a pointview of the old city. Its altitude provides a great view that reaches the vulcanoes that surround the province. The path is linked to the end of the ladder, and it leads to the Yaku Museum.

2. The Mideros street turned into a miw-use street. This road is a remanent of the Damero, the Columbian grid implanted in 1530 by the spanish conquers who built and defined the city. This street, as the whole plot of the sector, is narrow and used mainly by the car. The intervention seeks to prioritize the pedestrian movility throught changing the use of the Mideros into a pedestrian and car use street. Allowing the people to walk through it with no boundaries and providing security. The end of the path is joined to the beggining of the big ladder. Quiroga path plan

The architecture consist in an element which promotes the development of commerce in both ways but mainly in the Mideros ladder. Currently the ladder has an abandoned character and inactivity that gives place to crime nd insecurity. Therefore it is necessary to change this condition and enhance the space for the community benefit. The ladder gets into the library and transform itself in a book shelve and in a reading area. The use is changed, the ladder is no only useful for transit but also as a container of program inside the library. In that way, the library works as a trigger for development and security.
