-Provide project coordinators with exceptional and concise visual understanding of the work process done by construction personnel for scheduling and construction purposes. -CAD on-site solutions for temporary bridge walkways for accessible connections between barges in order for workers to access boring drills, concrete pumps, and welding stations. All which also had to strategically be allocated on CAD according to barge perimeters before execution of machinery placement. -Coordinate efficiently with civil drawings the maneuver of excavation machinery to prevent damages to existing water, gas, electrical utility lines.

Collaboration with sister company Bermingham Foundation Solutions yielded a unique, custom drilling and grouting system that used the same drill string to drill and grout in a single stroke. This saved drill changing and tooling times that would normally be required.The implementation of the single-pass system allowed for a streamlined operation with less than 12 steps. Nicholson was able to complete the work within the original schedule despite the drill quantities increasing 50% from 65,000lf to 95,000lf. Due to the complex nature of the project, the drilling operation was closely monitored using Grout I.T., a proprietary, real-time control and data collection system created by Nicholson’s parent company, Soletanche Bachy.

Project includes multi-phase development of exterior spaces for Great House, Beach Villas, Lagoonfront Residences, Resort, Full-Service Marina with 33 slips, Mixed-Use Retail, Yoga & Spa, Private Island Club. Itz’ana’s property development by L&ND seeks to mitigate environmental impact, maximize tree conservation, and source all specimens, hardscaping, furniture and other materials locally while respecting Belize’s unique ethnographic blend of Creole, British, indigenous Maya, and Hispanic influences. Development for this project includes a multinational, worldclass team of artisanal designers, architects, and builders to create the ultimate experience in luxury and ecologically minded adventure living.

ive cities have teamed up to build a skate park at Haulover. The new

HAULOVER SKATEPARK Haulover Park is a 99-acre urban beach located in metropolitan Miami, just north of Bal Harbour, Florida. The park is located on a shoal between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, just north of the Broad Causeway and Collins Avenue.

recreation space has been officially opened.The mayors of Bal Harbour, Miami Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, Bay Harbor Islands and Surf-

side say the park will help get kids off the couch and moving outside. The park, which cost $267,000, will include a pump track for cyclists and a skate plaza, said Surfside Mayor Daniel Dietch.Just as the park will encourage people in the community to come together, the planning and funding allowed different Miami-Dade communities to combine forces to see the project through. This demonstrates to everybody else how communities can work together to bring projects to fruition.

PORTOFINO The Portofino in South Beach (“Portofino Tower”) is a stunning 44-story masterpiece of design that was one of the first of the new “ultra-luxury” high-rises to emerge in the now trendy South of Fifth (SoFi) area in South Beach.

Our team was hired to exquisitely study and completely transform the entire outdoor and site experience. Core elements that structure and enrich LAND’s Master Plan for Portofino include: 1. Create a Sense of Timelessness; 2. Spatial Connectivity Throughout the Site; 3. Predominately Native Landscape; 4. Cohesive Texture; 5. Organic Local Materials; 6. Open Views to Surrounding Vistas; 7. Separation of People and Cars; 8. Desirable Views Through the Site, Visually Connect the Outdoor Spaces; 9. Rectify Pools and Architectural Elements within the Landscape. LAND’s careful consideration and recrafting of everything outside the building envelope is cohesive master plan that aims to restore and sustain these remarkable emblems of SoFI architecture and luxury living.
