Working collaboratively with an assigned partner, produce a flag representing your personalities, interests or identities to be included in an exhibition at Islington Mill

DR.ME curated an exhibiton of flags from pairs of students in the class, which was held at Islington Mill in Salford on the 13th December 2013

The brief stated that the flag must represent us as a pair, and as individuals, by showing our personalities, interests, identities through the medium of a flag. We decided to approach the brief by looking at the pattern design that we both like and are inspired by. Lisa has a love of Aztec patterns, while I personally am inspired by African fabrics.

We researched into different Aztec and African patterns, then took elements and ideas from each and combined them together into a brightly coloured flag that we feel represents both of our personalities.
