EIB TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THE CARIBBEAN FINANCIAL SECTOR OBJECTIVE

PURPOSE

To promote responsible financial inclusion of the Caribbean populations, particularly for women and youth, so as to reduce poverty and encourage entrepreneurship across the region.



To facilitate the deployment of EIB medium to long term financial resources provided to Financial Institutions for the benefit of local businesses in the Caribbean.



To strengthen the financial and managerial capacity of the selected Financial Institutions with the objective to create sustainable, responsible and well managed organisations to help ensure that they can meet their policy objectives and that their clients are well served;



To contribute towards unemployment reduction by offering Caribbean populations, most notably women and youth, improved access to a diverse and responsible range of financial and non-financial products aimed at encouraging income generation;



To foster and encourage a wider entrepreneurial spirit in the Caribbean
