650 D - with Pad & Strap Ambulation Possibilities EARLY STROKE REHABILITATION - GAIT EVALUATION AND THERAPY AID

It can often be important to evaluate the potential for a custom orthosis - or to encourage the redevelopment of a gait pattern following a stroke. The 650 D provides an extraordinarily versatile device for these training and evaluation situations. A therapist can apply the device “off the shelf”, for example in the acute stages of stroke recovery and rehabilitation. The device is designed to resist the development of contractures and protect vulnerable areas from pressure so is excellent for acute situations - where time is the essence. Ready to stand? The 650 D provides the stability and fine control to assist the therapist in this early rehabilitation goal. Once mobility progresses the upright section of the 650D can be swapped out for one with less resistance to dorsiflexion/plantarflexion. In some cases if the device is too stiff then ambulation is blocked because the user cannot perform a natural gait transition at mid-stance. The components of the 650 D allow easy adjustment of critical angles and component stiffness so that ambulation is not blocked - simply supported.
