Step 2: Register your business in the UK We’ll need to register our business in the UK. We must register the following things: 1) Register for self-assessment tax 2) Name your business according to certain rules 3) Run the business as an individual 4) Share profits between partners

Step 3: Licences When setting up a business in the UK we may need to apply for a licence, depending on what our business is. We are going to sell clothes and accessories, because of that these licenses are required:

Pavement or street display licence (England and Wales):

A licence for putting advertising signs on the road or pavement.

Public space surveillance (CCTV) licence:

A public surveillance licence is needed to carry out manned guarding activities with the use of CCTV equipment.

Notification to process personal data:

Notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if your organisation processes personal data in an automated form.

Licence to play background music (PRS): Licence to play recorded music in public (e.g. a radio, CD or music channel) on your business premises.
