sixteen:nine International Film Festival (SNIFF) is an annual two day short-film festival for students. SNIFF is the first student organized International film festival in Mumbai. It is an initiative taken by the students of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's (SVKM) Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management and will take place on the 12th & 13th of January, 2009.
sixteen:nine International Film Festival came into being with the objective of catering to the global student community's increasing demand for something unique in the field of filmmaking. It offers this niche audience the kind of cinema it is yet to experience. Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management also has a film society
named sixteen:nine Film Society. The film society aims to bring together college students from all over Mumbai to promote and encourage world cinema.
Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management comes under the dynamic public charitable trust of Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM). The Trust, with 24 educational institutes under its wing, has worked hard to provide quality education since 1934. Being one of the latest establishments, our college offers undergraduate courses in upcoming fields like Bachelor of Mass Media (B.M.M.), Bachelor of Management Studies (B.M.S.) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (B.Sc.I.T). Ever since its inception, it has zealously encouraged student participation in extra-curricular activities.

compose-a-prose: Years of studying poetry might finally pay off. Put your knowledge and memory to the ultimate test; put into prose what you understand from a poem. sketch-a-story: See something in the Last Supper that both DaVinci and Dan Brown missed? Got your own interpretation of Mona Lisa's inexplicable smile? Find out how well you understand art and let your story fly on paper. pot-pourri: The Mask turns the White House into a sanctuary for dinosaurs that have fled from Jurassic park. So a homeless George Bush now runs away to join Johnny Depp and his crew aboard the Black Pearl. Impossible? Not anymore. Pick your favourite characters from the given categories and script the story of your fantasies. strike-a-chord: Do the best you can with a mute video clip of our choice. Enhance a video with a blend of some original music scores. coming soon!: If you think there are films out there that got a raw deal by having their stories cut short, here's your chance to set that right. Go ahead, give us glimpses of fitting sequels and carry the story forward. parody parade: Play prankster; create your own version of the world's best loved films. Get Marlon Brando to crack a smile or replace the war sequence in 300 with a tomato fight.
actor hunt: This ain't your ordinary screen test. Only the most resilient will get through four grueling rounds at the biggest student-actor hunt. mise-en-scene: While the sets don't exactly resemble like the ones on Star Wars or Jodha Akbar, the ones we'll provide you with combine the best from all parts of the world. Make the best use of these to shoot a 2 minute musical film. cari‘clay’ture: Turns out, that childhood clay sets do come in handy after a while. Finetune your clay modeling skills. Connect two seemingly unrelated ideas and draw up a storyboard with clay. Be ready to get your hands dirty. picture this: Photographers looking to make it big now have the license to click, capture and captivate. An event where five clicks of a camera transform an adroit photographer into an adept storyteller. ad-venture: The event to watch out for; with potential advertisers being pitted against each other to work out some of the most innovative advertising campaigns.
