2018 Annual Report
Syed M. Mohiuddin, M.D. President, Board of Directors
AMI's Transformative Year As we reflect upon 2018, the first full calendar year in our masjid, we praise Allah for the blessings bestowed upon our community. This was a year of incredible growth for AMI. We’ve grown our attendance at weekly Juma prayers to around 140 members regularly; our AMI Academy has expanded to serve over 100 children each week; the number of educational and community groups with whom we are invited to share our vision and message is ever expanding; and our hearts continue to grow fuller with each individual and family we are able to serve. When we moved into our new building in early 2017, we could only imagine the endless opportunities that would lie ahead. As we gather as a united Muslim community to pray, learn, and celebrate all the milestones of life, we recognize the amazing opportunity we have been given to truly make a difference in the lives of Muslim families. We see this difference in our ESL students as they develop a stronger grasp of the English language; in our refugee families as they find a new home at AMI; in our brothers and sisters who find comfort in praying alongside one another through hardships and joys; and in our children as they grow and learn to embody the peaceful message of Islam. On behalf of the AMI Board of Directors and staff, I thank all who have helped make it possible.
Syed M. Mohiuddin, M.D. President, Board of Directors
