How we take action on our mission:
resilience, empathy, and teamwork should be part of every young person’s education – whether in the classroom, a er school, or at home. More than two decades of research shows that SEL skills are a better predictor of lifelong success than academic ability alone. Incorporating SEL in our a erschool program has a positive impact on a wide range of outcomes, including academic performance, healthy relationships, mental wellness, and more.
We hope to inspire children and encourage them to collaborate with others and respect di erences. If we don’t teach children to show love and kindness to others, we can’t expect agreement, collaboration, or problem solving.
Karina Pavone, President & CEOWe transform communities by getting involved on the ground. We support our families with vital resources during times of need by providing food, school supplies and other essentials. And as the nation continues to grapple with the fallout of the pandemic, we have remained committed to providing emergency relief and support to families in need.
We educate communities through awareness. We believe awareness fuels change. That’s why we are making the issue of child abuse recognized and discussed. We raise awareness through our award-winning campaigns like Broken Crayons. A multi-platform campaign which showcases the work from renowned child protection expert, Dr. Elspeth McInnes and shows unsuspecting art goers coming to the startling realization that children hide troubling truths in their classroom drawings.
How you can help
In spite of all of the challenges we faced in recent times, we are reminded daily of the struggles of others in our community who are less fortunate than us. Families who were already struggling to make ends meet are now facing even more hardship. Holiday gi s are a luxury many families that are barely getting by cannot a ord. That is why every year we mobilize our Amigos in support of our Annual Holiday Toy Drive. We do this so that every child can experience the joy and magic of the holidays. You can be part of our e orts by joining us in solidarity with a corporate sponsorship. Your sponsorship dollars go to support the toy drive and help
