Amigos For Kids has been working to prevent child abuse and neglect for over 30 years through programs that help families thrive. Financial struggles erode the protective factors that prevent child abuse so we are deeply committed to helping families with concrete supports during times of need. Even small actions such as providing a backpack, school supplies and uniforms can make all
SUPPORT OUR PROGRAM
Funds raised through The Blue Backpack Project, also help support our free after school program. After school programs, while in some cases affordable, are not within the financial reach of the families we serve who are at or below the federal poverty level; circumstances that erode protective factors and can ignite the life stressors that lead to abuse and neglect.
With our expanding support base, we can make this year’s program our best ever.
