Remains

An exhibition of photographs by Ian Warwick and Annie Williams of abandoned slate quarries, exploring how nature has taken over some of these majestic landscapes. 21 July 2014 – 28 June 2015

A Call to Remember How do we remember and how should we commemorate? From personal acts such as putting flowers on a grave or a photo on the wall to public memorials like village cenotaphs and Church services, the act of remembrance is something that touches us all. 2

In preparation for a larger exhibition in 2016 focusing on an unique memorial to quarrymen from Dyffryn Nantlle who lost their lives in the Great War, the National Slate Museum would like you to share your memories and thoughts on how and why we should remember. Look out for details of

forthcoming events and opportunities to take part during the year. Visit our Open Days this summer and make your own poppy for remembrance on 23 July and 30 August, 1–3pm.
