Redefining Impact Today!

About AIESEC AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organization. Active in over 1,700 universities across more than 110 countries and territories, our international platform enables young people to explore and develop their leadership potential to have a positive impact in society. Since 2006, AIESEC Jordan has been activating the leadership potential of 100 students every year, through providing them with leadership opportunities, international internships and conferences.

Background about the Ambassadors Program The challenge As young people in the MENA region, our responsibility to contribute to solving our worlds’ challenges grows each and every day. It is our role to lead positively and responsibly to create both social and economic reform.

As a socially-responsible NGO, with over 60 years of experience globally and 5 of experience in Jordan, we find ourselves as capable leaders to leave an impact on the Jordanian society. The concept With our new mission to define how leadership development should be approached in Jordan and in the region, we discovered that in order to make our impact truly sustainable and on the national level, we would need to look beyond our scope as an organization. We would need to encourage others, outside of AIESC to create their own impact and decide for themselves, how change should be created in their society. This is how the concept of a truly national program was born. A program that creates ambassadors for leadership and enables them to design and lead their own issuebased projects. The program The National Ambassadors Program aims to identify the 4 main challenges that the Jordanian people, corporate sector, and government will face by 2020. After identifying these, we can extract 4 main leadership competencies needed in the next generation of leaders, to overcome the challenges.

Redefining Impact Today!

Then by transforming each leadership competency into an issue-based project, to be run by young people outside of the AIESEC organization, we can generate the solutions needed to conquer the challenges of 2020.

Four Projectswill be launched under the Ambassadors Program about four issues impacting our society; Exporting Minds, Youth Unemployment, Lack of Cross-Generational Understanding, and Lack of Environmental Awareness. Each project will last for duration of one year, aiming to raise awareness in the community about each issue, through organizing learning events and seminars, and by spreading knowledge through various campaigns. Four teams, each consisting of 4-6 members, including a team leader, can apply to run a project under one of these issues. As an individual, you can apply for more than one project, but you will be able to participate in only 1 Project. AIESEC will provide the necessary training for each team to be able to successfully run the project. AIESEC will also be financially responsible for any expenses related to the operations of the project itself.
