Seven signals tell you that you’re stressed out By Yaoyao 1. Sleep disorders. It is vital to balance work and life. You can set a working time range for yourself. Working in spare time can lead to sleep disorders and extra pressures. Never work at home if possible. It can ensure regular sleep habit to get all formal works done in the office.

5. Change in behavior. You probably suffer from some changes in behavior and emotion, such as frustration. You should figure its cause out once you find something wrong with your behavior.

2. Exhaustion. The imbalance between work and life may result in excessive fatigue. In many cases, working overtime can only give you nothing but mental and physical exhaustion. It is important to finish your work in due time. But round-the-clock working can cause increased stresses and health problems.

6. Change in physical appearance. Unbalanced work time is likely to lead to change in physical appearance, such as sudden weight gain or loss.

How to Get Some Peace & Quiet! by Jim M. Allen In this hectic, modern world of ours there is often a great need for us to slow down, calm ourselves, and find some peace and quiet. Here are a few ideas to get you started: 1.Plan daily "quiet time" The best way to quiet down is to plan 30-minutes (or more) of daily quiet time. Time you can spend quietly, with yourself and your thoughts.

2.Create a noise-free zone Designate one room of your house as a noise-free zone where family members can go relax.

3.Turn off the television/radio Do you leave your t.v. or radio on as "background noise?" If so, try turning them off.

4.Turn off your telephone, especially at night Nothing is more disturbing than the shrill ring of a telephone when you are trying to relax. Turn off your phone's ringer. Let the answering machine or voicemail system get a message.

5.Turn off your cel phone In fact, leave it at home. After a while you may find that you don't even need it.

6.Turn off your computer Today, we receive as much information in a single day as a person did in an entire year in the early 1900 's. A large portion of that wave of information comes from our daily contact with the computer... so turn it off. Check your email tomorrow. Give your mind a rest.

7.Get away from the kids, the pets, etc. Ask a friend or family member to babysit/petsit for you for a day or two. (Then help them get some quiet time and return the favor.)

8.Take a nap We are much more sensitive to the stress noise creates when we are lacking sleep. So take a nap and recharge your batteries.

9.Take a hike! Literally. If you're going to surround yourself with noise, then surround yourself with the noise of nature. We all are living in an extremely busy world where we rarely get time to think about our lives or passions. Most of us are stuck in a 9-5 job which makes us so tired that we don’t get time for anything else. But eventually, we start feeling that we are just wasting our lives and we don’t have anything passionate to do. This lead towards depression and other types of psychological disorders. That’s why; it is extremely important that you have kept your passion alive. But many of us are confused about how to find passion in their lives. It is not difficult to find your passion because it is within you. You just need to ensure that you take out enough time in order to understand what your passion is. First of all, you will have to start with thinking about it. You can take out some time, relax, take a pen and paper and start writing it down. It is better not to use any technological devices because they can distract you. So, you can write down the things that you always wanted to do.

There are many people out there whose passion is to get financial freedom and for that, sometimes they fall in trap of different types of scams too. You just need to make sure you aren’t one of those. It is good to follow your passion but you shouldn’t risk your career for them. There are different types of good programs out there too, which could help you on working on their own to achieve financial freedom without much hassle. You can Google them and see what others have to say about those programs. You can interact with those people in order to find out what that particular program is all about. In this way, you would be able to get the first hand views about the people who have actually used that particular program. It is important here to understand one thing that nothing can make you rich within few days. If they are claiming that, chances are that they are lying. You will have to work your way out. There are things that can help you in moving towards the road to financial freedom in a faster way but nothing can help you to become rich within few days.

After deciding upon something, make sure that you follow it properly. If your passion is related to your job or career and you want to pursue it on a full time basis, make sure that you try it on a part time basis initially. Don’t quit your job in a hurry. Where are you from? I’m from Washington DC. From The south east side of the city. This is a place where they say people won’t make it but I say to them they’re wrong. Its so much beautiful talent in the inner cities of our nation that haven’t even been tapped into. I want to show people that if they tap into that beauty they will be tapping into pure gold. How did your parents influence you growing up? My Parents influenced me heavenly. Even though they divorced when I was five they still were heavily in my life. My moms was single with three jobs, and she preach to me about Hardwork and how important it is to always work for what you want in life. Nothing came easy to her so she would not allow her kids to take the easy route. My father even though he did not live in the house anymore make sure he played his part in raising me to be a man. I think that’s very important in life for young men to be able to grow up to be men. Also my mother made sure that she put me in every activity possible. Everything from choir to football to baseball to track to acting to drama you name it I did it. We never stayed in the house. I think it’s very important for kids to stay active in life. Without my parents I definitely wouldn’t be the person that I am today.

What lead you to the road that you are on now business wise? Believe it or not my friends led me into this business of comedy. When I was at Savon State University I lost my scholarship and had to come home. I was working at a car dealership and one of my fraternity brothers told me I should tell jokes because I’m so funny. I’m so glad I listen to him because my career has been rewarding. But if you would’ve told me that this is what I will be doing right now 20 years ago I would’ve believed you. Tell me about your business. The comedy business is A doggy dog business. Sometimes it seems like every man for himself, but I try to bring a sense of normalcy to this business. I come from country boy Roops and we love to talk to people so I use this to my advantage in the comedy business. It never hurts to be friendly the people I preach that to people. But it’s also a difficult business to be in because of the creative state that you have to BN at all times. I think that’s the hardest part of my business is always staying ahead of the game with new material. So I try to write five’s to 10 jokes a day. But at the end of the day comedy is awesome for me. And I wouldn’t change my life for the world. If anyone in business could be your mentor who would it be?

What do you love most about your career? I think I love the crowds mostly in my career. Because people come to your shows with different emotions and they leave with other emotions. Laughter is the best emotion that anyone could ever have. And I’m the one that they look too for their medicine. Traveling is also good part of the career because you see different places in different things on a daily basis. Is just so much I love about my career and comedy that it’s hard to say just one thing because I’m touching so many peoples lives. How do you balance family life with your career? Very very very delicately. Family is so important to me and my career so important to me is like being married to two different people. I always tell my wife that I have to you and comedy and they’re both satisfying. I just think that relationships and family are something that you work at every day just like your career and if you work hard enough at it then you can be successful in it. I think people give up too easily in relationships and family. A lot of people want life to be easy when life is not easy it is a struggle every day to be successful and if you are afraid of struggle that you would never will be successful in family relationships or your career. Point blank. Where do you see yourself in the next year? Only God knows where I will be in the next year. It’s crazy because I couldn’t tell you where I was going to be right now a year ago, but I like where I’m at? Hopefully I will be completing a lot of my movie project that I’m working on as a producer writer actor. Also hopefully I will be staring in my new television show the Red Grant show that I am working on with Some of today’s top producers. And if its in God’s will my nonprofit organization don’t shoot guns shoot cameras Will be in five new high schools in America! What is Your Ambizion? (Legacy) I think my legacy is to show people that they can always have fun no matter what situation they find themselves in. I believe in the turn up where you live your life to the fullest no matter who or what is in your way. I want people to remember my laugh. And hopefully when I’m not on this earth anymore they will be still laughing at me! The thought of that makes me Super super happy. What Makes A Good Movie Every year numerous movies are made in the entertainment industries but all are not liked: some top the charts while others are kicked out of the box office. Some become the hot topic of discussion for the critics while others just escapes their notice, in short some get a thumps up while others a thumps down. But how many of these, which get a positive feedback, are actually good movies? Well it is not that simple to answer, as it seems. The topic is very much subjective. What seems good to some may not be the same for the others. What appears enjoyable to a few others might be enjoyable for others. Then what exactly is a good movie? To generalize it, we can say that those movies, which are liked by the mass and not by some class category of people, could be considered as a good movie. But what are the traits that are needed for a movie to qualify as a good one. First of all a movie should provide good entertainment. They are of course others: Touch our feelings: A movie should touch our heart and make us talk or think about it instead of just becoming a time pass. It should have the capacity to teach and inspire us and provoke us emotionally. Educative: It should be able to let us know about something new. Nowadays movies are considered to be one of the most effective educational tools used to teach or educate people regarding certain issues. In short a good movie should have some educative value for the masses. Mirror of the society: A good movie must also provide some elements of encouragement and inspire people towards successfully overcoming barriers. Movies are regarded as the mirror of life. Every story of a movie is more or less inspired by our life, by what happens around us.

But this is not all; there are some other factors also which contribute in making a movie, to be considered as good. Following are the points: The Plot: This is the most important part of the movie. Without a good plot a movie fails to attract and retain the viewers in the theaters. Even if they were drawn to it initially for some reasons, people would loose interest sooner than later. The Characters: The second most significant factor of any good movie is the characters of the story. Without them there would be no story and no plot. Characters should be such, that the audience likes them. Be it a positive character or negative one. They should have some qualities to which the people can relate. Actors: We need good actors to make a good movie. Actors, who can justify the characters and make them, come alive in front of the audience. They must be able to portray the characters well so that people say that the characters are made keeping them in mind. They should blend themselves into the characters. Script: Without dialogues movies look dead. Script is the life of movies so they should be very strong and appealing. They can even make people come and see the movie repeatedly. Last but not the least, visual display of a movie with beautiful scenes and sceneries can also influence and draw people to the theaters.

Three Qualities of Highly-Effective Leaders If you are easily discouraged when a challenge arises, you lack the passion for that activity, work, By Dr. Jimmie Flores I often use a quote from MSNBC’s Chris Matthews: “To become a meaningful participant, you must get a seat at the table.” It makes sense that we must take some level of risk, and do something to contribute to the success of our organization. In other words, standing on the sidelines will accomplish nothing. We must participate. Here recently, I heard Matthews discuss the leadership qualities that he finds important. While his discussion focused on the current political candidates, the attributes are equally applicable to those of us in the business community. Quality #1: Motive Matthews was adamant that a great leader “must stand for something.” What are you trying to accomplish? Where do you see a gap that you wish to bridge? How do you plan to make a difference? Until you can express to others why they should believe in you, nothing happens. A leader is not a manager. The people who run the organization are far-sighted, continually focused on maximizing shareholder’s wealth, opening new markets, and providing unparalleled customer support. A manager, on the other hand, takes a tactical approach. These individuals create processes, teach those steps to others, and perform quality checks. The leaders ensure that the processes are aligned with organizational strategy, which means they will yield long-term results. Quality #2: Passion Matthews states that passion in leaders is described as “what brings out the emotions, and what drives their spirit.” You must know what excites you, and what will keep you going even when obstacles arise.

Of course, these individuals build a talented staff, and are not threatened by them. The effort is on high-performance, and not who is going to receive the accolades. Excelling in a leadership role requires that one have a reason to do well. Once we know what is important, we must align our energy to realize the intended benefits. Given that problems will arise, the top-notch leader is agile, constantly taking corrective action to meet the organizational objectives. Finally, successful leaders are willing to share the wealth, understanding that it takes a competent team to realize the goals that are most important for the enterprise. May/June 2014
