R eflecting back on my life, I have come to realize how I have always had a passion for design. It must have started back when I would stay up all night playing Sims 2. It was my es cape for reality. The young designer in me always dreamt of living a simpler life. High school taught me about sustainable living. I attended an eco-friendly green school that had things like solar panels and a rain garden. As I reached

my senior year I knew there needed to be a change in society, a more resourceful and sustainable change. From then on, I knew interior design was what I wanted to do, so I could help create a change in our everyday spaces. College has opened my eyes to the vast amount of opportunities interior design has to offer. It has changed me from a person who was dreaming, to a person who is doing. It is an amazing feeling.

Interior design has already brought me on a journey. I’m always learning some thing new and discovering new ideas. I love being able to incorporate my love of art and nature into my projects, and collaborating with other creative designers. I enjoy reflecting on my personal growth as I am going through the process of being an interior designer. I am so excited for where the future of design will take me.y
